True convection blows hot air through a third heating element behind the fan cover. It cooks faster and outperforms standard convection when it comes to baking, browning and dehydrating food.
The air fry function uses hot air to cook food instead of oil or fat – a simpler and healthier way to cook that produces delicious results.
The self-cleaning function burns grease and food residue to ashes that can easily be wiped off. It can be programmed from 2-4 hours depending on the need for deep cleaning.

Really badly designed, poor build qualityVincentFor starters, the oven doesn't properly vent so it always blasts me with hot air and steam when opening the door. On top of that the handle has fallen off multiple times now. I have a warranty repair pending, but the parts been backordered and it's been over a month and a bit where we basically can't use the thing. Worse still it's not possible to lock the touch screen or door while the oven is in operation - thus making it impossible to child-proof it unless you buy a third party oven lock. Really not recommended - wish that I had spent more initially for a more reputable oven.
SighMarilynnWe've been unable to remove the sticky blue tape on this oven . Every time (3) we turn the oven on, it stinks to high heaven of burning plastic. Some of the tape is stuck in the crannies of this oven. Fortunately we have two ovens, so I just don't use this one. If you buy an IKEA kitchen, you should expect things like this to happen.
Great Oven!WesleyWe have had this oven for exactly one year. We use it at least Three or four times a week. Have tried (almost) all the different cooking modes and the temperatures and bake times seem to be spot on. The air fryer mode makes foods super crispy without drying them out. This year , for the first time ever , I decided to cook a whole sixteen pound turkey in the convection/roast mode using the temperature probe. We couldn't believe it! -- A fresh sixteen pound turkey cooked in about an hour and forty minutes. The temperature probe recorded the time and turned off the oven when it was ready. Perfectly golden and crispy on the outside and so tender and juicy on the inside. Our first convection oven , and I can't say enough great things about it. Oh , and the adjustable sliding racks are awesome too! We have been through quite a few ovens in the past 20 years and this is the best one ever! Highly

Total ShockerStacieWhen ordering a new kitchen we had the choice to buy our own or the IKEA oven. I didn’t have high hopes on the quality because of the price. I assumed a high end oven needed to match the high end price tag. In the 3 months since our kitchen has been installed I am totally shocked. Not only is it a great oven I think this is the best one I have ever had, including the high end ones. I have recommended IKEA to everyone and specifically rave about the appliances.

-- Mode, listed in the manual (low temperature cooking) is not present. Minimum is 170F.
++ Insulation seems fine, heating works as expected.
+ Can be muted.
- Probe value should be always visible, not only during one cooking mode.
- Probe is short, can not take food out to wrap, add seasoning, etc, disconnecting aborts cooking.
-Sharp edges. Should be flush with the cabinet doors.
+- Keeps settings when power is lost, but not time.
- Bulky wire, low space for it on the back, not an easy installation over all.
Air fryer - doesn’t “crisp” wellJenniferHello,
I bought this oven two months ago and tried the air fryer with different recipes.
The veggies/tofu/chicken wings don’t come out crispy at all. This is disappointing
