Gets the job doneTimothyThis is a little on the flimsy side, but it works as it is supposed to. It rolls easily in and out from under the bed, and is good for holding sheets and blankets, but not much else. The bottom of the drawer is not solid wood but fiberboard. If we don't give it any rough treatment, I think it will last for the lifetime of the bed.
Poor qualityErinAs a long time happy Ikea customer, I am very disappointed in the quality of the underbed storage box. After only one month of use, the bolts on the side slats completely pulled away from the frame and damaged the pressed wood. Now I have to figure out a way to repair this so that the box is functional. Very frustrating and disappointing.
Broken in less than 2 years.AnneThe front drawer panel fell off on one side. I wish I could upload a picture. The screws on the side panel detached from the front panel, almost as if the wood frayed.
Not the sturdiest piece of furniture but good for the pricePamFits perfectly under the bed but not very deep. Not the best quality furniture. I was able to assemble this myself even though I’m not the handiest person. Took about an hour.

Hit-n-miss under bed add-onsG.Like everything else IKEA, the drawers were fairly straightforward to put together, but took about 45 minutes because some of the parts were large and cumbersome; still, not difficult by any means.
Looks like this design was changed a bit since the last time I bought them, years ago, but these feel like they will hold up just as well.
The only annoyance with these is that they are freewheeling, which means they can easily misalign and bump into each other or the bed. This is the biggest distractor. However, if you only plan to use them for storage, they are a great addition and the reason I bought them.
Overall quality is decent. I would buy again.
HEMNES AndreaLove
This one missed the markJI’ve bought IKEA furniture for years with very few problems, if any at all, but these Hemnes drawers were the worst quality item I’ve ever purchased. The cardboard bottom of the drawer was mis-cut and wouldn’t align properly, thus making it difficult to get the final back piece on- so much so that the dowels broke through the particle board back on both drawers and the back piece will not lay flush with the side pieces they’re connected to. This was a disappointing purchase.
FunctionalMinjiaWe have other Hemnes pieces in our daughter's room, so buying these underbed drawers was a no brainer. Once put together they look fine and work fine. But unlike other pieces in the Hemnes series, these drawers are all particle board except for tiny bit of pine on the bottom to support the roller wheels. It makes the drawers really heavy and a bit difficult to pull out / push in, especially the bigger one. Would've preferred to pay a bit more for actual pine construction for most parts like the rest of Hemnes series.
Very low qualityRadmilaSo we bought this storage 1 year ago. We were pretty excited, because it worked so well for our interior, and it was impossible to find anything like this in the price range.
Sadly, this storage started going sideways just within 2-3 months. The material of the walls is so incredibly cheap that it simply fell apart. We tried our best to fix it, but eventually the item fell apart completely in less than a year. I wrote to the customer service. They talk big time pretending that they solve your issue. In fact, they weren’t even able to identify the order. This is after I gave them the detailed the information about the purchase, including the number of the store, the register, and so on, and we checked it 2 times with the representative.
Then I just asked directly if IKEA has any warranty on this item. They said NO they don’t. Okay. Out of maybe 4-5 furniture items we purchased in the last year, we had to return 2. It’s really sad to witness such a decline in IKEA furniture quality.
Great storage optionRobynI love this storage for the Hemnes twin beds. I would love the option to buy the two drawers separate though because the small drawer runs into the nightstand due to the way the room is set up so it is not very efficient. Easy to put together and great use of space.
Love the space-saving and versatility!DamitaIt was easy to put together. I purchased this set of under bed storage drawers in white on sale. I put the short drawer on one side and the double (long) drawers on the other side. Although, I have a queen size bed, I got my king size comforter in one, a throw, a sheet set, and a pillow in one. I put them inside the clear IKEA storage bags first. I still had room!
Decent drawersVickiThe big drawer was not easy to assemble alone. The only real objection is that you cannot but a drawer under the ladder of the bunk bed. It does not fully close because of the ladder support.
Storage for older Hemnes bed?LindaI'm reading that these under bed storage drawers won't fit for older Hemnes bed frames because of design changes. What year did the design change? I'd like to know if these drawers will fit my queen Hemnes bed frame.
