so disappointed Anonymous reviewerI regret this purchase. after I installed it I noticed there was a crack in the frame and it when I contacted customer service they told me that I could get a percentage off from the purchase so I waited. when I call back, they tell me I already "received' the credit . I did not so they make me a new case number and now they're telling me because its a structural damage I need to send it back to do an exchange. why drag it out for months just to tell me they can't do any sort of credit.. the material is made cheap and it doesn't look sturdy at all. you would think by the price that it would be better quality..
The cheapest and flimsiest furniture you will ever see in your lifeMichaelMy previous review wasn't published, but I'm writing another one to beware potential buyers.
I bought the set and I think the total cost of materials here is about $20. Everything is extremely flimsy - you will probably crack the side boards while putting this together. After a few days, the top half started to bow to the point where shelves were falling as they couldn't reach the contact posts; I had to drill and screw into the shelves to keep it together.
I have not ever in my life seen such a low quality piece of furniture. There are $10 bookcases at Ross that I would trust more than this. Absolutely shameful for Ikea to sell this and especially at this cost. I paid $1500 for all 3 and would not buy these again even if it was discounted to $50.
perfect choice for meBarbaraI love this furniture. It is perfect for my living room. It is solid wood, and the high legs allow me to clean underneath. Even the backing was solid wood. the leveling legs have plenty of leeway to accommodate a wobbly floor.

I received two bookcases (4 boxes) from Poland and one (2 boxes) from Brazil. The bookshelf manufactured in Brazil has a slightly different coloring and the top piece was 1/8" shorter than the other two. I wound up exchanging this, but could not find the glass front that I needed to replace from Poland, so I wound up getting two of the bool shelves with one glass front.
If you are mechanically inclined or good with puzzles, these only took me about 4 hours to put together and the replacement bookcase about 30 minutes since I had done three already. These really shouldn't take 15 hours to put together as someone stated, the instructions are pretty simple.
Delighted with this ProductAnonymousI purchased the storage combination of three units in all black. It looks even better in person. Yes, it is three separate units assembled side by side, but it reads as one large piece. The bookcase is a cinch to assemble for anyone with a bit of Ikea experience. The storage units with glass doors are more complicated. I had our resident expert put them together. It took him 90 minutes for the first one and an hour the second time around.
I especially like the real wood in these units, not particle board. The patterned bottom to the drawers was a fun and unexpected design touch. The knobs are especially nice and the adjustable/leveling legs are exactly what I needed in this old Victorian. The safety anchors to hold it to the wall are almost too short to reach. I have extensive moulding/trim. Just be aware you may have to make adjustments for that issue. Pegs holding shelves are not visible, great design touch!

Just 3 Separate Shelves...BenThe photos make this look like a single piece. In reality, it's just three separate shelves that you can stand next to each other. They are very flimsy. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Not quite what I was expectingAnonymousI bought this the first week of May and I just received it yesterday-June 26th. It arrived in great shape with no missing pieces or damaged parts. The instructions were clear. Assembly was fairly easy with the exception of the glass door hinges, which were a nightmare. My main issue is that I was under the impression, from the picture and the description, that this was 3 separate pieces which were connected together, which isn't the case. This product is literally 3 very separate pieces that aren't (and don't) connected to each other in any way. I suppose this could be a good thing if you wanted to eventually put each piece in a different room, but it's just not what I was expecting or wanting.The back panel is flimsy particle board so it gives a bit of a cheap look to it which is disappointing. For $947.00 USD I thought the quality would be a bit better.
