Like the overall look; assembly & quality not so muchEdieWe ordered the Hemnes cabinet with smaller bookcases combination. The cabinet has drawers and glass doors. Putting the doors on was a NIGHTMARE. Your guide is not enough. At the least, IKEA, please add a door tip sheet with more and better guidance on the latching and side-to-side adjustment. Similarly, the drawers are quite persnickety in terms of getting them in just right so they open and close smoothly. Here too, the guide needed more information, or an additional drawer tip sheet would be helpful.
I do not feel the quality of these pieces matches the cost. 3
Great Bookcase PatriciaAfter years of stacking piles of books on our 2x2 ikea cube shelf, we settled on this bookcase for our bedroom having the case elevated our bookshelf situation and allows for a little bit of decorative items to be placed inside as well as our books. I was worried about the glass, but we anchored it to the wall (as we have a toddler) and so far so good. It was reasonably priced also for the amount of space. Highly recommend.5

Great…unless you’re a perfectionist.JulieGreat storage solution, and was easy to put together. I put the 3 pieces together, leveled (this part is crucial to them looking good) and installed them by myself in under a day. My complaint is that the white color on the two side bookcases is NOT the same as the white used on the middle cabinet. You wouldn’t notice if they weren’t right next to each other, but as it is… you can tell they don’t match. Even my husband noticed, which is how I knew I wasn’t being crazy. For pieces that are supposed to go together and look like one unit, this is a problem.3
The only thing I wishBrandiThe only thing I wish that the two small shelves actually connected together to the cabinet because I bought multiple units and the backing shows a white line down the middle which catches my eye.

Terrible Customer Service - still waiting for cabinet sidesDeniseOrder delivered 4/26/2022. Delivery Co called since they had left a box on the truck. The box contained the cabinet sides so cannot assemble the cabinet. Delivery Co said to make a claim with IKEA. I did, and have made eight (8) subsequent calls each lasting up to 2 1/2 hours while I explain the case number and over and over again I just want Box #2 that the delivery company left on the truck. Even though I’ve spoken to someone who claimed to be a manager and she was very courteous and tried to help me, even her promises of delivery of box #2 on 5/14/2022 did not come true. I did NOT receive the box on 5/14/22 as promised. So I have paid $529 (including tax and delivery) for the Hemnes cabinet that I cannot put together because the Delivery Co (Atlanta Trucking Delivery) left the box with the sides of the cabinet on their truck. NO ONE FROM IKEA CARES ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND NOW THEY DONT EVEN RESPOND TO MY EMAILS TO APRIL BELL, the manager who was going to help me.1

Use as a bar cabinetPauletteI bought this to use as a bar cabinet. I searched many furniture stores looking for something to suit my needs and budget and after weeks of not finding what I was looking for chose thus. Happy with how it turned out. Added LED lights to the inside to shine down on the contents, looks great. I assembled by myself as this was a surprise for my husband. Took almost all day but would have been much faster with 2 people. Only cons are that the paint is very thin coat and even the slightest bump will leave a dent.4
