Quality control issueDanielI have been buying IKEA furniture for awhile now, including other bed frame. I've never had this level of frustration. First time the headboard had glue residue in various places and a dent. I was going to let it go but the different pieces would not fit well together, the holes would not line up. I had to use so much force to force the items to fit. Then, after I put it all together, I notice some weird discoloration in one spot. The was a scratch... which was covered up with the touch up paint!!! Unbelievable!!!
I got a replacement and there wasn't any cosmetic issue with this one but the holes in one of the legs had even worse alignment issue then the first one. I couldn't even force it in... I am giving up on this one.
I have IDANAS bedframe in my master bedroom which looks great and relatively easier to assemble. I am going to try that frame... hopefully it will work out.1
