However, these new updates have made it extremely hard to put together and the furniture feels very cheap. Still not bad for the money, but disappointed with the reduction in quality

Not the sameHollyI had this nightstand from 2020 - loved it. Ordered another one this month. Finish is not the same - the old one has a gloss finish which is great for long term durability. This one is just white paint - plus $50 more? Not impressed. Not only is it more expensive and cheaper quality but I will have purchase a glass topper....I would no longer recommend the product.

Poor finishJamesI bought this same night stand and the 8 drawer Hemnes Dresser many years ago. The finish on both was a glossy white, very attractive. This new night stand is simply a flat white paint. Very disappointed in the change.

Huge sticky pitch patch inside drawer. MarkWe have purchased 3 other Hemnes identical nightstands and wanted another one for son's bedroom. Just put together the nightstand, and as usual the instructions were somewhat vague. Hubby can figure it out, but a couple fasteners would not go in straight. But, the worst part is there is a huge 6 inch by 2 inch patch of pitch that will be on the inside of the drawer. The only way I can think of fixing the problem is to paint over the patch with sealer paint. Returning the product would take at least 2+ hours out of my day. POOR QUALITY INSPECTION.
Horrible SharonI have the entire bedroom collection and the quality is horrible. Within weeks of owning the nightstands began chipping paint off and have horrible long lines on them. Both nightstand tops did this and look terrible after only owning for a few months. Originally, the set was gorgeous when we finally finished putting everything together. We spent over $2,000, we have nine pieces in our bedroom and everything is doing this. Ikea will not back up there product if it is after a certain date and you do not have the original receipt. I highly recommend you go elsewhere with your hard earned money. Ikea has raised their prices but lowered the quality of their products.
