Want more shelves!!ScottI had seen thesein the Orlando IKEA when it opened. I got a set for my to store larger wood wooking tools. my plainer and bench top drill press are very heavy items and the shelves are not bowed after ten years. I'm waiting for the store to restock so I can replace some Home Depot wall cabinets that are falling apart after 12 years ( laminated particle board). These shelves are easy to put together by one person, unbelievably strong, and long lasting. I even had a Harley motor sittin on a shelf for a week while I did some frame work. GO GET YOU SOME !!!

Just pay attention on which side of the product is facing out, one face has a rough finish where the holes were made.

Not bad, but make sure you get all the parts!AnonymousYou have to piece this together by visiting multiple bins. Each one is critical, including the metal supports! I like how you can make you own size - I went for the 4 section, but its easy enough to go back in a week to make it 6. Assembly is easy, but given the amount of screws you are going to want a power tool. Just be sure to turn the power down a bit, this is a soft wood! During assembly I was worried how wobbly it was since I was planing on loading this thing up with heavy garage items. Installed the metal supports and its night and day. Anchor each post to the wall and you get even more rigidity. This is an easy build and sturdy shelf all while remaining fairly clean and low profile.
Excellent for my garageAnonymous reviewerI see there are no reviews for this product, so I'll comment. I purchased my shelves in Fall 2010 (now Fall 2017), possibly with a different IKEA name than HEJNE. I have two sides of my garage lined with these shelves. I do not recall any difficulty in assembly, but I do use power tools for screws. My shelves are stained dark brown, The shelves hold as much weight as I can put on them. They do need to be secured to a wall so that they don't fall over (you do this with an eye bolt and a steel wire). My shelves are still as pretty as when new. Negatives: Keep your bottom shelf several inches off the floor, as leaves will find their way under these shelves for you to sweep away. If you have any plans to epoxy your floor, do it first, as these shelves don't move once installed.
