Cool Havstorp BiegeNeilThe color is a greyish biege. It’s a nice option to plain grey which is getting kinda old. And not as vanilla as white or as bold as blue and greens. The color changes with sunlight to more of a putty earth tone and picks up rose tones at sunset.
Quality of finish and product is excellent. Easy to work with. The price is also great.
Packing and shipping was good but lead time was long. 5

The art of adding color to the kitchen
Fancy a kitchen with color but unsure if it suits your home? To make your choice a little easier, our color specialists have done a thorough job of developing the muted tones for HAVSTORP kitchen doors and drawer fronts.
Two years. That’s how long it usually takes us to create a new kitchen door and drawer front. Developing the right color is a part of that process. Flavia Melesi, who is a product developer, says that the team usually begin by looking at what is happening in the world around them. “It’s not the fast trends that influence the palette on kitchen doors and drawer fronts, but more slow movements. We want to find colors you can live with for a long time – regardless if your home is big, small, modern or traditional.”
Carefully selected colors
For HAVSTORP, the team developed a selection of muted colors that work well on bigger surfaces like kitchen doors and drawer fronts. The next step was to see what happens with the colors in various light. “We place every color sample in a lightbox where we can simulate several types of daylight and lighting to see how the color behaves. Our job means that you can trust the color, that a grey kitchen actually always looks grey,” says Flavia. “You should feel confident with your choice of color.”
Coordinated with your home
Since we at IKEA have the whole home under one roof, we can always develop and test new products against the rest of our range “That way we can see the colors in the right context and safeguard that they work together with countertops, appliances, sinks and different types of wood. We also coordinate them with the rest of the home so it can become a harmonious whole.” And when you have decided on a color for your HAVSTORP kitchen doors and front drawers, the fun part of choosing knobs, handles and accessories remains. “All those things that give your kitchen a personal touch and the feeling of coming home to your very own kitchen.”
What is fibreboard?
Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
