Use as a standalone or together with other furniture in the HAUGA series throughout the home. To create larger solutions – or just because you like the uniform style.

The characteristic top shelf is a common feature in the entire HAUGA series and adds to the traditional style. Regardless if you use it for hats, boxes, or decorations, the edge keeps your things in place.

A wide chest of drawers gives you plenty of storage space as well as room for lamps or other items you want to display on top.

The frame is easy to assemble thanks to the construction with a wedge dowel that easily clicks into the pre-drilled holes.

It does really take 5hrs to assembleChristopherI'm very mechanically inclined with a large tool collection. When reading these reviews, I thought the 5hr assembly time was due to people skill level and a lack of proper tools. It is not. There's nothing inherently hard about the assembly. There's just a LOT to assembly which will become quite clear when you lay everything out. Don't even think about assembling this with a manual screwdriver - it will take a lifetime. Directions were standard Ikea quality. You have to pay attention to the way things are oriented in the pictures. Other than that, pretty clear. Just make sure you have 5 free hours. It's going to take that long. Quality of the dresser is standard Ikea - about what I expected.4
Easiest Build everRobertI have to admit, I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews before purchasing. But I really liked the design and needed it, so I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did! The build was actually very easy, and I’m not sure what those negative reviews were talking about. There was one small issue: a missing part. However, I’ll just order the replacement from IKEA, and I’m confident it’ll arrive soon. Overall, I love the product, the assembly was simple, and I’d definitely recommend it!5

DO NOT PURCHASE IF SO HIRE IKEA TO PUT TOGETHERArielI am appalled with how long this took to put together. Ikea should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of instructions in the manual. There was no proper labeling of what each part was. A step by step video should have been included. This dresser took over 4hours to complete. The cuts of the wood were off which made this even harder to properly put together. For this dresser to have been over $300 is shameful. I have warned other potential buyers to never purchase this product or anything else from Ikea that’s similar to this dresser.1

Horribly poor qualitySanjanaThe dresser broke while moving to the room after fixing it. The wood is coming apart at the junctures. Paying 300 bucks for this product is insane. Very bad quality and getting connected to the customer service takes forever. Firstly, a damaged part of the dresser arrived in the first order which is delivered after a month of placing the order. After insane amount of calls to the team, I was told I’ll be getting a replacement of the damaged part. I had to wait for one month again and after several calls, I got a new dresser delivered. Poorest of the poor quality. Don’t waste money. 1

Very time consuming Wei-LunFirst of all this is a good dresser, but it also requires intensive labor to get it done!!! If you don’t have helpers and decide to work it by yourself, be prepared to take up to 5-6 hours of installation. Some key installations really need two people to get the parts better aligned. And like others have mentioned the labeling is terrible, since you are going to face tons of parts. Please keep in mind.3

Beautiful dresser, a tad difficult to assembleAnonymous reviewerI bought this very handsome dresser (gray version) after visiting the store because the drawers on this one open more than half-way even without securing it to the wall. Honestly, IKEA's lawyers have gone overboard with the tipover hysteria, and it is frustrating that most IKEA dresser drawers open only half-way without having to drill more holes into the wall. The location of my dresser is in front of a needed electrical outlet, so bolting it to the wall is not an option. I was able to put it together on my own, something I don't necessarily recommend, particularly the part where the top half has to be lowered onto the bottom half. Just know that it can be done. The instructions (pictures) are clear, but patience is definitely needed. Read through the instructions more than once before getting started, and know that it will take a while from start to finish, and you'll be fine. Once completed, it is a beautiful and solid piece of furniture.5
Great and easy to assemble. FernandoI’ve assembled IKEA furniture over the last 15yrs and they have greatly improved and have made building their furniture much more streamlined. This was very EASY and SIMPLE to put together. I read several reviews on here on how difficult this was to put together, but that must be folks who struggle doing anything in life. In reality there is a lot of repetitiveness to the building, but overall it’s easy. Give yourself enough space to build this and you’ll be alright. Don’t rush through it and you’ll be happy with the results!! 5

Furniture tipping over is one of the home furnishing industry's most serious safety issues and we’ll never stop working on innovative stability solutions for our storage furniture. A tip-over accident can happen when you least expect it. It could be someone using a drawer as support to stand up or children climbing to reach something on top. But no one can predict all the scenarios that everyday living at home can create. That’s why the best way to avoid tipping accidents is to always anchor the furniture to the wall. But we also offer new stability solutions that help make our storage furniture safer. One example is our stability feature Anchor and Unlock. "It means that the chest of drawers must be anchored to a wall to be able to open more than one drawer at a time, which reduces the risk of tipping, but doesn’t entirely remove it. By anchoring the chest of drawers to the wall, you unlock the drawers and can open them all at once," says Björn Andreasson from the development team. Another way we increase stability is to integrate it into the design. "With GREÅKER cabinet with drawers, for example, we´ve developed hinges that stop the doors at a 115-degree angle and keep them there to reduce the risk of tipping," says product developer Dagmara Pawlus.
