Terrible ReplacmentMarkIkea used to have one of the best hammocks, but they retired that model for this???? This one is complete trash. I'm a tree-to-tree guy, not a stand, but I cannot image using this with a stand would be any better. Is this made of vinyl?? Is does not drain water so you will have mosquito farms all summer long, its horribly unfomfortable, and the installation was significantly more complex than the old model. Please bring the Riso model, because this one is going in the trash.1
ReplacementIsabelMy original IKEA hammock was old, stained and worn, so I bought this one to replace it. It is the right size and easy to attach to the original stand. The problem is the plastic fabric is very stiff. It has not softened over time and is not as comfortable as the original that was closer to a cotton/poly canvas. I hope they go back to something softer2
ImpossibleZeshanAs someone who is horrible with knots, I particularly struggled with this hammock. Instructions are impossible to follow and just seems like an overall complicated way to hang up a hammock when there are much easier alternatives. Also, the material is very cheap and plastic-y. Obviously it’s for outdoor use so it needs to be sturdy and durable but a bit of cotton wouldn’t hurt.1
