Hub requiredMosheNowhere on the box does it say you need a hub. Only once you get home and try to use it does it tell you that it’s absolutely useless unless you purchase more hardware, so stupid!! Just write on the box so customers are informed about what they’re buying1

Quick Thread connectivity and setupNathanI use this to power cycle our Litter Robot 4, as it does not reconnect to Wi-Fi when it goes offline due to an internet service provider outage, router update, etc. The remote makes for a quick two button press reset of the thing, and it all works perfectly in Apple's Homekit. I'm using an Apple TV 4K 3rd gen with ethernet. Something to note is that the remote and plug are not natively paired to eachother out of the box. You will need to set up the automations/functions of the remote yourself using IKEA's home app, Apple's Homekit, Google Home, etc. You can also separate the two devices completely and use the remote for other things, if you so desire.5
