A new and fully charged LADDA battery, 2450 mAh HR06 AA 1.2V, will last at least 5 months if the lamp is used 5 minutes per day.

They throw a lot of light and the angle that the LEDs are mounted on shines that light outward covering a large area, not just at the wall the unit is mounted on. I've bought similar stick-on sensor lights for cabinets and they always have some flaw... sensor doesn't work properly, light not bright enough, uses battery to fast... etc. These are perfect, and a great price! I've installed them in multiple different cabinets (none of them IKEA products either) and they work fantastically! The sensor always detects when I open the door, and it stays on long enough for me to use but not so long that the battery drains quickly. Been using them for over a month now and they're still going strong! I was also impressed with how well it illuminated my super deep & dark cabinets. The angled light is genius. Sensor area very smallGreyThe sensors on these are not very sensitive and have a very small area in which they identify movement. Not ideal for standard built in closets as there’s not really anywhere to put them where you can activate the sensor. Better for small kitchen cabinets1

So first off I will say I am concerned about removing it to replace the battery, but fitting it was a breeze and for the light it gives off is fab for a dark little cupboard
