According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 242 lbs.

Excellent and comfortableMarilynBefore I purchased this chair (on SALE!!), I read the reviews and tested it in the store. I am so impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the frame and construction. The chair is roomy, cozy to curl up with (and has a matching ottoman), is very supportive and high/deep enough. Of note, the chair is not small - it's not LARGE but I had envisioned it in a corner in my room, but it's a little too big, so it's in a different room and still a popular seat.

narrowRachaelIt was fine, but too narrow for my (wide) rear end to fit in comfortably. So I gave it to friends as a gift. They love it in their space.
Comfortable ArmchairAnonymousWe have a very small living room, but still wanted a comfortable, fully upholstered armchair. We tested out all the available chairs at our local Ikea store, and decided on this one. It was the most cushiony, and happened to be one of the smaller armchairs. My second choice was Morabo in the blue velvet, but the Gammalbyn has loose cushions, so can be re-stuffed later if necessary. The only negative is that it's a fixed cover; I hope Ikea sells slipcovers in the future, preferably in the better quality Hillared fabric, as the fabric choices for this chair are not great. You could see pilling on the showroom models. Chair was easy to put together, one person can do it...only 8 bolts and then the legs.
