Maximizes storage in small spacesLizHands down the most useful thing I’ve bought from IKEA—my tiny apartment bathroom has under sink storage and a medicine cabinet and a huge mirror that runs the length of the wall over the sink and toilet. Placing this over the toilet gave me access to stuff I use every day that doesn’t fit on the edge of the sink. It’s perfect. Only issue is that the way the unit’s bathroom is designed I couldn’t place the shelf properly with the lowest bracket attached so had to unscrew that part before putting it in place. It’s still stable and that one thing isn’t a dealbreaker.

Just what I needed!DerekI bought the FRÖSJÖN over-the-toilet shelf to add storage in my bathroom, and I'm very happy with it. Assembly was easier than I expected—the instructions were clear, and everything fit together well.
I noticed some reviews mentioning that the holes for the side railings didn't line up. In my case, they lined up perfectly after I realized the side panels have a specific orientation during assembly. It's an easy detail to miss, so pay close attention to the diagrams.
The shelf feels sturdy, doesn't wobble, and the black finish looks great. As a bonus, my local IKEA had it advertised for $49.99, but it rang up at $59.99. The cashier honored the advertised price without any hassle, which I really appreciated. Overall, it's a sturdy, attractive shelf that I'd definitely recommend.

Designed for Euro toilets, not AmericanSujayThese are clearly designed for wall, mounted European toilets, which is the standard in Europe. Here there is empty space under the toilet, and the water supplies contained within the toilet housing that is mounted to the wall. This is why there is a lower bar on the shelf that must be installed after putting the shelf over the toilet because American toilets are connected to the floor.

It is also why the bottom shelf is so low because European toilets typically don’t have a supply tank mounted on top. The tank is typically located elsewhere.

Had To Buy New Feet, But CuteKatelynWanted to leave this review to share a tip for this stand. Get new M8 screw on feet for the bottom to make it taller.
As for the actual review I needed to replace the shelf the previous owner left behind and this was the only replacement I could find that I liked.
So PROS: The design is cute, black, and I love the solid shelves. It was also mostly easy to put together.
CONS: The hardest part was the plumbing for my toilet was in the way of the lower support bar, which seems to be a common issue for many other buyers. It was frustrating because the bar only had to be just a little higher. Thankfully, getting taller, screw one feet, was an easy enough fix.
My other con is I wish I could customize the height clearance for each shelf... but I was able to reorganize my medicine to accommodate whatever didn't fit on this shelf so eh.
Measure before you buyCatherineI bought 2. One for each of our small bathrooms. One fit, the other was too big. The bars that go in front of the shelves are not drilled correctly and won't go in. It's at an odd angle. It's wall anchored so it works.

I bought this over 180 days ago but just getting around to putting it together. I will still use it, but it's not the desired designed I hoped for. I buy A LOT of items from Ikea and love them. This defect seems to be a common one based on other reviews for this item. Very disappointed.

So I ordered this over the toilet shelf to match it but at the end of assembly the holes for thin securing poles don’t align properly, they pointed outside instead of inside. Very disappointed.

Great over the toilet shelfKarenThis is a great over the toilet shelf. It is sturdy and the feet can be adjusted for stability on uneven floors. My daughter’s friend has this shelf and she had to get one for her apartment. This will mostly hold nick nacks to make the bathroom more homey. I do like the rail in the front of the shelf so stuff will not fall off if the dog gets behind it.
Didn't work out Mary-JoI really wanted this to work. I liked the design - how the shelves had arail to keep items from falling off. Unfortunately, the feet and design of legs prevented it from clinging to the wall. It didn't work at all and I returned it. If there had been a similar item with the secure shelves but without legs - that hung on the wall instead, I would have gotten it
Perfect for tiny bathroomEmilyWorks great for my needs. Like others, I needed to not install the bottom bar until the shelf was in place around the toilet due to where our water line comes in, but was able to attach it even in a pretty cramped space. I think you'd get away without it but it helps a little for stability. Perfect for storing bathroom essentials in my tiny WC.
