This sofa converts quickly and easily into a spacious bed when you remove the back cushions and pull out the underframe.
Sofa, chaise and double bed in one.
The long back cushion gives extra comfort. Remove the mattress pad from its cover and roll it out for extra comfort when sleeping and put it back in the cover for a supportive cushion during the day.
Storage space under the chaise. The lid stays open so you can safely and easily take things in and out.

Fun functional sectional good value for the priceJanaThis is my second Friheten sectional, so I knew exactly what to expect. I really love the orange! It’s bright and looks great in my sunroom. It’s fun to pull out the trundle so everyone can put their legs up. I pretty much live on the chaise because I always sit with my feet up. It is very firm, but I like it that way. We had no problems putting it together but once again, this is our second time. The Klagshamn is pretty useless as a pillow for the chaise. It was very hard to stuff the mattress cover into it and it takes up too much room on the chaise so I don’t use it as a pillow. Also, this fabric will pill, especially if you use the chaise a lot. Knowing this, I purchased some dog cushion covers to save on wear and tear but you can also buy new upholstery covers for Friheten on different sites in a variety of fabrics/colors. Anyway, good for the price but the upholstery fabric is not the best. I plan on buying a new cover in a few years.
New couchAmyI moved into a new smaller place and wanted to freshen up my living space with a new couch that was comfortable, practical and attractive. So far I am enjoying it. My space is very small but this couch gives me 3-4 places for people to sit. The lounge section provides me with an area where I can relax and stretch out my legs. There is also the pull out bed so I can invite overnight guests to stay with me. I’m excited that my granddaughters will have a comfortable place to sleep when they sleep over. It’s still new but so far the upholstery is holding up well.
There are lots of parts to this sectional so I hired someone from TaskRabbit to put it together for me. He had assembled the same model many times so he was fast and it looks great.
I’m so happy with my new couch!

Doesn’t wear well for the price over time ElisapeciBought this a year and a half ago. I just share my couch with my partner and it’s only been a year and half and the couch has worn down to the wooden frame. It was great at first but has become so uncomfortable to sit on. Wish I got a thicker couch
Nice couch! Not so good tools. LatifahThe last part, the screwing the wheels and hinges for the pull part? The screws just doesn't fit. Spent hours on just that part in particular. It's frustrating. Luckily, I have some spare screws but it's unfortunate I paid this much for some tools not tool be usable.

AssemblyWisamSo the assembly process is painful. All 6 screws for the tires and random things would not go in even with a drill, horrible assembly process I broke my back on something that shoulda taken 2 hours ended up taking way more. Also the mattress topper is so annoying to put in the cloth bag. I only gave it two stars bc it’s somewhat comfy and I don’t feel like returning it. Do better, I thought ikea had good quality. I have yet to use it but it seems very firm but somewhat comfortable. If you want easy assembly look elsewhere.
Perfect scale for small rooms!RebeccaThis is my first purchase and I am now a fan for life! The couch gives us the flexibility to host friends & family in a small bedroom that is a sitting room by day, converting into a bedroom by night. It's beautifully designed, comfortable to sit on and sleep on. If you like a softer bed, a foam topper can be stored under the lounge chair section. My teenage son put it together within 30 minutes. Compact, versatile, sleek, and sturdy - everything Ikea is known for. Bravo, Ikea!
