Fits the amount of ice it uses and with the handle it is easy to transport up stairs and then just dump in his ice machine. The lid is perfect so nothing slides out while going upstairs.5

Compost BinKathyThe size and construction are great. I live in NYC and have to bring my compostables to a receptacle outside the building. Because I need to transport my compost, I wish to do so in a biodegradable plastic bag. When I put the bag in the Compost Bin, it does not stand up. I've put a large yogurt container inside the bin to keep the bag upright... but the yogurt container is significantly smaller than the bin. I wish there was some sort of inner lining I could use to hold up the bag. The Compost Bin looks good on the counter... its color is very similar to the color of my kitchen, which is nice. However, it would be nice to offer this product in other colors for customers whose kitchens are colors which may clash with the green.3

This isn't a compost bin. It's a bin. SaskiaThe description is deceptive. This isn't a compost bin. It's a bin to be used to transport items to compost area. It's not intended to leave food scraps in long term. I wish I knew this before I bought it. Ikea accepts returns, but I live 2 hours away by car so I can't easily return this so I wasted my money.1

The perfect size for kitchen countertopJenniferI was looking for a compost bin to hold all my kitchen scraps that looks nice but functional. This is it and the price was great! The only downside is the grooves in the lid that are supposed to line up with the handle part of the container. Since I use a compost bin liner when I put that on, it’s hard to line up the groove to the bin exactly. A minor thing but something to consider if there will be a next iteration of this product 5

stank up my kitchenLaurenThe price is insanely cheap, but it just is more of an ice bucket and less of a compost bin. Compost bins are either very tight to control order or have vents that control them that way, and this has neither. It stinks so badly now that it ever smalls after it comes out of the dishwasher.2
