The most difficult IKEA assemblySoonaI really hate the assembly! The compartments don’t fit into each other easily. Requires lots of trial and error and energy.3
Poor fitPaulThis is a nice looking unit, but does not assemble as well as Ikea's usual Billy units. The pins do not fit the slots very well and I had to use brute force with a hammer to get the parts to line up. Fortunately nothing broke.3

Nice looking and affordable cabinet!KatarzynaI truly don't understand the bad reviews here. If you follow the assembly booklet and START WITH UNIT 1 !!! - you can't make it wrong. Assembly in 15 minutes myself (including reading time ;) twice ) I have to use a rubber mallet to line up the edges perfectly. The final effect is awesome.5
Solid bookcase! Assembles in about 10 minutesRachaelThis is a solid little bookcase. I've got it loaded up with heavy cookbooks and it's holding them all with no issue. I ordered some better looking legs than what came with it. I don't know what everyone's problem is with assembling it. Read. the. directions. Make sure you look at the photos. Compare your pieces to what is in the photo and lay them out the same way. Go step by step. It's not rocket science. If you have a rubber mallet it helps to seat the pieces together, but it's not required.5

Hard to assembleNicoleI like them, but I forgot to put the back on before I put the last side on it. Can’t get it apart now so the back is open. Kind of silly to have an open back when I purchased doors to keep my nosy dog out of them. He can just go around to the back now.5

Great storage combo!AnonymousI am so happy with my purchase of this storage combination. I am using it in my entryway so that there are drawers for hats/mittens, and storage for other items in the upper pieces for me. These were all easy to put together. I know some comments on the upper piece with the doors said that they couldn't get them to align properly. Mine align perfectly. I had to play with it a little bit, but they are perfectly aligned and fully functional. This set looks so clean and sleek and it's so easy to use for the kiddos. Perfect addition to my home. I purchased in the dark gray. Take your time to put the pieces together and follow the instructions - just like any IKEA product - and you'll be just fine. I'm contemplating buying more of these pieces for other parts of my home.5

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
