Drawer Set Needs Refinement - For the price would expect cleaner look and more realistic assembly.Anonymous reviewerFour-cube piece took considerable time, tools and workarounds to build. It looks okay, not perfect. The cubes assemble by sliding the two long edges together. They do not slide. I had to hammer them together, but hammering alone would have broken the particle board so I hammered my slipper. Assembly also requires - not suggested, requires: a drill, driver, hammer, flathead screwdriver and maybe a phillips. To put on feet, you use a template to drill your own lead holes. The drawers do not open or close easily - you have to push and the piece is not sturdy so I have to hold the back of the cabinet to push the drawers. Drawers interiors are kind of small. While most of the construction is pretty sturdy, the drawer bottoms are a thin piece of material so I am concerned that they will sag. The clips that hold the backs together were tricky to install, not all clip hardware worked, can't be adjusted. While the back is held together, the front splays open when I push to open drawers.
Too sensitive to manufacturing tolerancesEmilioOf the two I ordered, both had bad drawers. IKEA is replacing them, but the double-wide units have a drawer design that is much more tolerant of manufacturing errors. I hope they transition to that design on the cube units.

Great Little Cube StorageAdrianLove these little EKET cubes. They assemble easily. The spring loaded drawers are a nice touch but also the source of my only complaint - the drawers don't always close sitting perfectly flat.
Fair storage piece for the costChrisThe Eket is a good, base cabinet piece for what you pay for it. I wish it included the "adjustable feet" to give it a little space off of the floor.

A nice ideaMaureenThe concept, the size and the flexibility led to my purchase. However, the mechanism for opening and closing the drawers is located on both drawer slides. You have to press the drawer from the center to open and to close it. If you press it from one side or the other it will latch lopsided. Releasing or engaging the latches takes significant focus and effort; it is not something you just casually do. I am going to try to remove the mechanisms and replace w/a knob and maybe a magnetic closure and see if I can make these functional. Also, combining units for standing on the floor is a lock on the back, making moving a challenge (they are locked together only on one side) and the lock is not a simple thing to remove for rearranging - defeating the purpose of flexibility and functionality.
Drawer Mechanism is sturdy.AnonymousI like the way the drawer mechanism and the opening and closing of is sturdy and does not open easily without putting some force into it. Too often cabinet drawers disengage because they aren’t so sturdy.
Just OKAnonymousNot bad for my Eket setup. Closing the drawers are however frustrating...you need to push from the center of the opened drawer to close or else it doesn't close aligned with the cabinet.
