DO NOT BUYMadisonAssembly is hell. Screws do not fit as they should so you'll need to drill a hole for yourself. Instructions are NOT clear PERIOD ! Buying their drill and tools DOES NOT HELP ! All it does and strip the screws. I've broken an entire nail and I'm not even halfway through with assembly. I regret buying this. 1
A small improvementBillFantastic table. Small yet the expansion makes for a fun group of 4. We did change how the leaf fits under the top to prevent any damage from the locking mechanism. Otherwise nearly perfect. 5
Solid table needs adjustment to useextensionKathyTable is as described. Missing two screws for leaf indexing tabs and extension leaf would not properly fit without us filing down a part. Assembly took at least 1.5 hours. Table is solid and fits our needs. 4
Extension issueBeverlyAfter 4 hours of putting the table together the extension doesn't pull out far enough to put the leaf in place. Extremely frustrating.1
Design flawMarjorie RThe table top does not line up when the extension leaf is used. I used an experienced Task Rabbit assembler. Disgusted with yet another design flaw from Ikea. A bot apology with return policy is insufficient to make up for the waste of time and money. Bye Bye Ikea furniture.1
Very sturdyEricI was limited to a certain size because this was going in an assisted living apartment for my parents. It also had to be sturdy enough to help support them when they get up and sit down. I literally went to the store and leaned on tables to find one s that were the most stable. It also extends, which is nice if you have that need.5
Great TableEdIt works perfect for a small space with the ability to extend and add seats if needed.5
Cool Table JamieVery sturdy 5
Sturdy, perfect size for board gamesChristineThe table is sturdy, as are the chairs. I like that the extension fits underneath but doesn’t get in the way of knees. It’s the perfect size for board games and puzzles, and nicer looking than a card table. Knocked off one star because the assembly instructions could have been clearer, and a couple of the pieces got stripped very easily despite being careful. Also maybe a tad overpriced for what it is.4
Perfect fit for small homeKathleenI bought this set for my granddaughters house warming gift. It is the perfect fit for her small kitchen but allows her to expand it for having company. The self storing table leaf is perfect in their small house. Two people had no trouble putting it together. 5
fine but one major flaw Cristinathe table is sturdy enough but be warned that it will not “lock” closed because the lock is not long enough to reach the latch it’s supposed to click into. so you have to be careful when moving it 3
IrmaExcellent product and the best (price)5
Great ValueEdwardWell made product , easy to assemble and very sturdy5
Nice SurpriseAnonymousWhen we initially were looking at the table in the store we were surprised to find it had an extension. Putting the table together took a little time but the final looked great. The table is strong and the surprise extension works great. We enjoy showing it to our guests.5
AnonymousI am very pleased with my table it fits perfectly in the space I bought it for.5
Perfect for apartmentMaryThis is the perfect little table for a small apartment “eat in” kitchen and it gives the option to easily extend for when guests come. Great design with the self storing leaf.5
Ease of a 2-fer to 4FrancesSmall apartment, limited dining space, great table for 2, works equally well with company seating for 4.5
Great size !AnonymousI’m so happy we purchased this table it’s a perfect size for a N.Y. apt. We also bought four foldable chairs two are hanging on the wall, while table is not in the extended mode. Love this small look !5
Perfect!AnonymousThis table is small enough to fit well in my living room, but much more durable than the average lightweight “small space” table. It feels like a real table, it’s easy to clean, and it doesn’t wobble. I haven’t used the extension much at all yet, but I love having the option there when I need it. Assembly took a while and there was a hole missing. I have a drill on hand so it was no big deal, but if you don’t have one and you’re new to furniture assembly it would be wise to have some help. Overall though, I’m very happy with this purchase.5
minimalist and functionalAnonymousI had the Torsby table with high gloss finish for 3 years. Although I liked the look of it, but it was way bigger than what we needed, and the surface of the tabletop started to develop small cracks over time - which is why I decided to buy the Ekedalen. Assembly of the Ekedalen took 3 hours. It was not difficult, just time consuming which I didn't mind. When my back started to hurt, I took a short break then came back to it. I like the minimalist look, and the fact that it extends to seat more people when we have guests over (which is not often). It seems very sturdy too. Overall, very happy with it.5
