Dvala PillowcasesSharonThe quality of Dvala has deteriorated. I have several sets of Dvala sheets from when they were first featured. Now, these are nothing like those. The new ones are scratchy and rough. Very thin material. I disposed of them because they are too rough to even use as rags.
Comfortable and Affordable SheetsAnaI’ve been really happy with my DVALA sheets! To keep them from feeling rough or itchy, I wash them in cold water with a Free & Clear laundry detergent. I also stopped using fabric softeners like Downy or Suavitel and use a small splash of white vinegar instead. It has worked really well for me. My DVALA sheets feel comfortable, wash well, and do exactly what I need them to do. Simple, affordable, and definitely worth it!

Low thread count (150), poor qualityIzumiI am very disappointed in IKEA for significantly reducing the thread count of these pillowcases, compared to their previous pillowcases at the affordable price point.
I have purchased many sets of pillowcases from IKEA in the past and the cotton must have been much higher thread count because they were A LOT softer.
These new DVALA pillowcases feel like sandpaper against my face, so I can't sleep on them.
To make a matter worse, I can't return them because I purchased them using my birthday reward, so if I were to return them, I only get a tiny refund and have to forfeit the rest of the reward amount. This was a very bad purchase and I don't recomment it. IKEA - you need to do better. Your founder must be rolling in his grave.
Dvala Pillowcases, blueSharonSomething is wrong here. I have purchased several Dvala sheet sets and pillowcases, and none of them are scratchy and thin. These are so thin that one can see through them when doubled and held up to a light. They cannot be 100 per cent cotton because they are very harsh to the touch. Not so with my previous Dvala pillowcase purchases. I have loved the homespun quality of my previous Dvala pillowcases and sheets. These are so hideous that I am probably going to discard them.
