Handy BUT…StacyHandy but why do these boxes smell so BAD! I keep my hoodies in them and they reek when I get them out. I’m not even sure what the smell is but it’s like a mixture of moth balls, black pepper and musty. If you have a good sense of smell I would be careful buying these.

Horrible SmellAlexWe purchased a few of these two years ago and they were wonderful. We purchased some more today and honestly thought our toddler had pooped her pants in the car — no joke! This product’s sewage smell is very strong and unfortunately we won’t be able to use them - despite trying to air them out and even dusting them with baking soda. We love you, IKEA, but please send this product to quality control! Thank you!
Horrible smellIrinaThe smell is soooo bad I cannot even be in the same room with the boxes. I tried to air them out, did not work, I washed them, it did not work at all. I won't be able to use them.
Perfect for top shelves in closetDawnOur home has tall ceiling and the closets have an unreachable top shelf. However, it’s valuable storage space. We purchase these DRONA cloth storage bins and they fit perfectly across the shelf. It’s like they were made especially for our closet. We now can store items securely and it looks polished. The bins are super deep to hold quite a bit. We purchased the lids to go on top to avoid a dust since we will store winter clothes in many of them. I could not be happier with the quantity and price. We put them in every top shelf in our home. Since they are very light weight, getting in a ladder and bringing them is easy. I recommend these for storage that you get to only once in a while.
great price and structure but horrible smellLaureni saw the review that said the boxes smelled so i actually sniffed them in the store and didn’t smell anything. however, once i brought them home and assembled them there was a horrible smell. i’ve had them for 3 weeks and they still smell despite having placed them near open windows, fans and air cleaners directly on them, and even filling them with baking soda. super disappointed as they are a great price and actually really sturdy

Stinks!BrennanLiterally, these have an overbearing, strong chemical smell. Airing them out for days outside, hopefully it eventually fades enough I'll be comfortable using them (intended originally for a nursery).
