You need a wrench AgnieszkaNot shown in the instruction but you need a wrench for one screw to tighten that pretty well otherwise the table will wobble. Once that is done correctly it’s a pretty decent table. Make sure you are getting the right height of table as they have two different kinds.
Love the table, if it was 8 inches larger it would be perfect.MelissaPurchased table along with 4 AGEN chairs (the rattan chairs) the combination looks great. I had Task Rabbitt put the table together, the person who came was quick and professional, please note 1 person from Task Rabitt turned down the job as it did not pay well. The table is perfect for everyday use for 2 people and for 4 adults on occasion. So far the surface has no stains or scratches. I have already recommended this table to friends and family as well as the agen chairs. The chairs are nicely designed and sturdy, however, they are NOT varnished, so I sanded them a bit to get rid of splinters and plan to do a light matte varnish or wax to keep in good working order.
Read other reviewsMikeSteps 6 and 7 are where problems can occur but we reviewed them and took note. This helped us. We love the table, perfect for what we needed. Your choice of chairs is your next important purchase. Consider how far you want them to push in. The pedestal is nice but will stop you from pushing chairs in as far as you might like to, if you want to conserve space.
Here’s how to fix the wobbleAvaSpinning the pieces around in step #6 will never align the grooves in the white plastic top of base, so apparently the grooves are supposed to be offset, and looking underneath you will see a slight offset of the top two pieces, but only if you really look carefully. This is how I tightened it down and it is now stable. Genius. 😉😂

Do NOT drill your own holes - rotate the plastic stem and plastic base until they align with the holes in the metal table top base plate (makes sense when you start assembly)
Do NOT use a simple wrench to tighten the table top bolt to the stem - use a socket and rachet set and tighten as much as you can. Table at store did not wobble for me. It sees more use than mine. If that one doesn't wobble, why can't yours not wobble? Use Sockets and a rachet.
Do NOT just pick up any box at the store for the stem and base - there are two stem types. A tall and a short version. They are put in the same spot in the store. Make sure you get the right one.
Finish is standard Ikea white Formica that they use on other products. The table goes well with BAGGBODA side table. Same color. Finish has held up after 6 months of use.
Plastic base does scuff a bit - be aware. People rub shoes etc on it. some scuffs hard to remove.

No resolutionLesliAfter the usual Ikea assembly struggle , my table top has a large sticky ring around it. It's not removable. I've tried everything. Called customer service, no resolution.
Love it NihalAs an interior design lover, I really love this table. It fits perfectly with a minimal design aesthetic, but you can also style it in different ways. Mine isn’t wobbly like some reviewers mentioned. I assembled it myself—it wasn’t the easiest task (the metal part is actually heavier than me, lol)—but once I figured out which screws were key for stability, it came together beautifully. Just be sure to tighten the screws firmly, and it won’t wobble.

It is critically important to get the white plastic outer parts lined up PERFECTLY. If not, you table will not be stable. Once you figure it out (directions not great) it's good as gold!

don't give upSarah M SealyI was going to give up on assembling this table as I couldn't get the plastic and metal lined up in step 7. I checked the reviews and realized a lot of people have had trouble with this step, resulting in a wobbly table. The problem is the base, stem and bottom need to line up. To make sure the metal plate sits flat on plastic with screw and side tabs sticking out and holes lined up, put the metal plate on screw and reach down to rotate plastic base until the plate falls into place. A little awkward but it works! The table is steady and looks very nice.
Needs a redesign?AyoUnfortunately, we experienced wobbliness with this table like many other people. I really wanted to keep it because it fit well in our space and looked nice, but we couldn't get past how shaky/unsturdy it was. Funnily enough, my husband and I walked through the showroom after returning it and saw the same table on display. It was also wobbly lol. I think it could benefit from some design changes.

MCM at an affordable priceBarryWe purchased this in the as-is department as it has been sold out at our location for some time. so far, it has been a great table. We have a 1970s home and have decked it out with MCM furniture and modern alternatives. MCM dining sets are impossibly expensive. This Docksta fit the bill and we are happy with its look and sturdiness.

Very disappointingMaxI was so excited for my new table, and I am very frustrated with this purchase. The other reviews were right, the tabletop is not sturdy. It looks so, so cheap. The texture of the table top is not nice and has some scuffs on it right out of the box. I expected better quality at this price point, and I wouldn’t recommend this table to anyone.
Docksta Table - Nice!AnnI like this table - just what I needed for my small space in the kitchen. But it was a challenge to put together because the top was wobbly . We took it apart 3 times and finally got the bolt tight enough so it was fine. Luckily I have 2 strong friends that did the job! Otherwise, I would suggest using their assembly service called TaskRabbit.

LovelyJenniferThis is the nicest tulip table for my needs, as it has enough room to seat 4 comfortably. I happened to get this when in the as-is section, and it was simply a retired floor model. This has held up better than many pieces of Ikea furniture that I have had, but to be fair it is a basic design with minimal pieces to break. The amount of scuffing on the base that my table has accumulated seems to be very reasonable, which is nice as I have the white model.
