Cheaply MadeLuisBeautiful lamp. Has a nice glow when it's on. Blends well in my space. However I had a tremendous frustration trying to replace the bulb. The glass cover has a plastic screw that its glued to the top and that part got unglued while trying to unscrew it, leaving me unable to remove the bulb. I love the lamp, but knowing how delicate the screw is, I'm not sure if I should replace it or got my money back. Never been so frustrated with a such a simple product as a lamp.

Stopped Working After 1 Year - Do Not BuyEliseThis is a beautiful lamp but it stopped working after 1 year. I was hoping it just needed a new light bulb, but after swapping out the light bulb and trying an alternate wall outlet to confirm it wasn't a problem with the power source, it was clear the lamp had a defect. There is no warranty on this item or exchange option after 6 months.

It was extremely disappointing to see that there was no protective materials for package at all. While IKEA processed a refund without issue, their packaging for fragile items needs serious improvement to prevent this from happening.

Arrived broken… twice!NeilI’ll start by saying that I really like this lamp. Looks cool, good light quality, etc.
However, we ordered this lamp to be shipped to our house and it arrived completely smashed, and got glass dust and shards all over our table and floor. IKEA sent a replacement, which also arrived completely smashed. This glass lamp is basically packaged in two plies of lightly wrapped tissue paper. We ended up making the trek to our nearest store to pick it up in person. While this was inconvenient, I’m more bothered by the waste- two lamps in the trash without ever being used. I would highly discourage anyone from ordering this item to be shipped.

The glass covering the lightbulb is far from perfect and has many imperfections in its finish, either "bald spots" or specks with too much finish. This is very disappointing and I can spot them from the other side of my living room.

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials.
