Paint on table top chips easily AliciaI am so disappointed with this piece of furniture. The white paint on the table top chipped within the first year and usually use a table cloth. There would be way more chips than the 4 chips I have if I didn’t use one. Unacceptable after all the purchases I have made from IKEA since 1998. I still have a Billy bookcase from 1999 or 2000 that has less chips. I would not have bought this table had I known the paint on the tabletop would chip so soon like this. I have a picture to show evidence of the paint chipping off but this app isn’t allowing me to upload a picture with the review.2
Absolutely love this table RachelOur family has bought 5 different dining tables trying to find one that was easy to clean, beautiful, and the right size for our family of 6. This one hit everything on our list. It wipes up so easily, it was so quick to put together, feels very sturdy, and it’s beautiful. We purchased the oak veneer top. Time will tell to see how well the surface holds up to my 4 kids, but so far it’s perfect. 5

Scratches easilyJuliaOnly had 1 month and already have knicks on the white surface (white). No kids and only used for meals for 2 so no rough treatment. I would return but live too far away to disassemble and take it back. My other IKEA purchases have been great but this table is a disappointment. 1
Good style and size...for the seasonal sale priceTmLove the style, color, size and practicality of this long table. It’s wide enough to truly seat three-across-three tall guests, whereas other Ikea long tables are too narrow. Rounded edges are nice and safe for adult hips and kiddo foreheads. Metal legs are stronger and more durable to stand up to scratches and bumps. Sturdy under frame prevents warping. Not heavy, easy to assemble. Time will tell if surface is durable enough. We got oak veneer, looks pretty and is smooth. Others hint it may scratch easily, we haven’t had it long enough to tell. Maybe scratches can give it shabby chic farm table aesthetic, lol. If you have kids, do a lot of work on tables, and are generally rough on your furniture, honestly everything will scratch somewhat except a pricey hard, lacquered, real wood. This is a great deal for the size, especially if you buy during November $90 off fall table sales. Maybe I'm not yet used to inflation prices, but I'm not convinced this is worth regular price.4

“I was challenged to design a product with a new production technique using steel instead of wood. Inspired by traditional-style tables, I came up with a design that had a crafted look, but could also appeal to those who prefer a simpler expression. Thanks to clever technology, we were able to make tubular steel legs that look like turned wooden legs. Strong and stable and with soft rounded shapes. I hope that DANDERYD table will bring warmth into many people’s homes."
