You open the trash can easily by pressing lightly on the top of the lid.
The slim design allows the bin to fit into narrow spaces.
You can stand the bin on the floor or mount it to the wall.
The trash can is easy to move since it has a handle on the back.
Handles make it easier to remove the inner bucket.
The waste bag can be easily secured around the handles of the inner bucket, so the bag is less visible from the outside.

Lid latch broke in one month, light useAmyPurchased 12/22/25... broke on 1/9/26. I loved this little can, the size, the lid style, the ease of use, but the latch is made of plastic and is low quality. In less than one month with light daily use, probably a couple times per day, the latch wouldn't catch, and then it caught permanently so it won't open. IKEA website isn't giving me a return/refund option, so I'm stuck with a broken item and will have to hunt for something else. Disappointed. I really liked this item.
Stylish but broke shortly after buyingMarcusIt’s a very nice small, stylish trash can, fits perfectly and was very satisfying while it worked, but now the opening mechanism doesn’t work anymore. Second item I’ve bought from ikea that has stopped being functional shortly after purchase.

Cute but quickly stopped workingStarThe can is really stylish and a perfect size for the bathroom. Unfortunately after only a few weeks the touch aspect of the lid stopped completely working. So now I have to fully take off the top every time just to use it.

Nice but WonkyAnonymousI bought this to use on my counter for non-compostable or non-recyclable kitchen trash. Attractive, a great size, and I was very happy with it until the touch-top lid stopped working regularly. This makes it basically unusable, because taking off the entire top is very inconvenient. I inspected it to make sure there wasn't anything blocking the spring mechanism, but i's perfectly clean. I got it working again somehow, but I question how long it'll be until the next time it proves frustreating.
Amazing Trash CanLoriI love this trash can. I bought it so my little dog couldn’t get in the garbage but I also love that it’s at a much more convenient level and mounting it on the wall gets rid of the garbage can on the floor which looks nicer. I’m getting more!

Great price for qualityHepiThis is a good looking trash can I purchased for compost. I had been using the competition's $49.95 version for regular trash. I like my trash on the counter to prevent my dogs from going into them and I like to dispose of the content frequently, hence the 1 gallon. I would make 2 adjustments. Cut down the height by 2.75 inches and make it longer while keeping width the same. The 2nd adjustment would be to make the top portion a bit heavier so it doesn't jump up every time I press open. Still deserves a 5 star IMO.

This was a perfect solution to keep the cans out of reach from her as the wall-mount is quite unique for a trash can! The easy lid pop mechanism is also satisfying.
