Product details

You don’t need a bedside table when you have storage in the headboard. This saves space and makes it easier to access boxes or drawers under the bed; and it’s easier to vacuum too.

One of the shelves can be adjusted to 3 different positions.

Hide cables for lamps and chargers by feeding them through the holes at the top of the headboard.

Disappointed DraganaIt's very difficult to assemble. The drawers don't fit well, they have gap between the frame and drawers. The boards are crooked. The headboard is pointless, it's not connected to the bed frame at all. There's a gap between the bed frame and the headboard.1

Exceeded ExpectationsAlexandriaThe actual Brimnes bed frame is a terrible product. This headboard is the only redeeming feature, in fact. Our bedroom is quite small and doesn’t have space for nightstands, so we got a bed with a headboard that could function as one. The bed has since splintered into pieces, and has been discarded, but this head board. I am still in love with it. It functions perfectly, gives us plenty of space to put our electronics/glasses/water, and our cats can walk behind our bed because of the tunnel-like shape the bottom has (which they love to do). even after replacing the bed frame, we kept this head board. I don’t think it will travel well, but it works perfectly for what we needed. (Oh, and I put the headboard together alone, so it’s actually not that bad!)5
Great headboardBarbaraWe waited five months for this piece to come back in stock, and our teen is so happy to have it. It complements the Brimnes storage bed, adding a handy place for a lamp and other small items without needing a separate bedside table. There is a channel to run charging cords for electronics. The headboard is tall enough to rest against but not so high to overwhelm a small room.5
Why IKEA?!?!?RobertoThe headboard and bed set was nice. Only major complaint is the installation. These paper instructions are really horrible. It doesn’t show you what color goes facing what direction. No written instructions nothing! For as much as we pay for these sets, ikea needs to figure out better instructions. Like asap! If your not capable or patient, don’t buy anything from there.4

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
