Drawer handles are a hazardRachelI'm not sure why people are hating on this bed. Yes, it did take quite a while to put together. But once done, it is fine. EXCEPT for the drawer handles.
The 8" handles that bolt onto the underbed drawers are surprisingly sharp at the ends. A real hazard when you're sitting on the bed with your legs over the side. I'm looking for new handles...4
Horrible! Do not buy!DavidAside from being very complicated to buy, the locking screws do not work correctly. This is especially true of the central “+” sign region in the center of the bed. This does not lock and lead to the bed breaking in two places as we were trying to put it together. This will need additional braces now and I don’t know where to buy these as we now need to re-engineer the bed frame to make sure it is sturdy. Something IKEA should have done in the first place. What I would like is for IKEA to haul away the broken one, replace it with a new one and send people to build it! 1

Poor design and quality MikeInstructions, design and quality are horrible. The headboard does not even mount to the bedframe. The headboard would have to be anchored to a wall. I don't want the headboard mounted to the wall. I had to spend another $100 leg and hardware to mount the headboard to the bedframe. Absolute garbage! Do NOT buy not worth the money. 1
Very complicated and difficult to assemble KellyThis bedframe looks great and is very functional, but seriously consider hiring someone to put this thing together. It took me ~8 hours to assemble the main bed frame, not including the drawers. The instructions are mostly clear, but the way it is constructed/engineered is abysmal. The locking screws don’t work very well, and the metal adjustable pieces and tiny screws are so annoying to put in. 3
Beautiful bed, slats are a painAliBed was a little challenging to put together, but nothing different than any IKEA furniture. It just takes time and patience. The only complaint is the slats keep falling off the sides so the mattress keeps falling into the drawers. We are going to try to see if we can get double sided tape or something to hold them in place. If you can figure out how to get the slats to stay, the bed is worth it. It is absolutely beautiful!4
The whole bed frame is a dirt and dust trap, impossible to clean. LaurenI’ve had this bed frame for about 5 years and it’s held up well but it is designed very poorly for cleaning. Because of the slatted frame, dirt and dust gets collected on the sides of the mattress and falls into the drawers below, making everything in the drawers filthy (do not keep clothes/bedding in the drawers). It’s disgusting how it traps so much debris and is very difficult to clean the spaces between each individual slat, along with the drawers below. The other thing is the drawers are not removable and there is a frame under them, so the only way to clean the floor under the bed is to move the whole thing, which is extremely difficult and takes two people. This whole bed is a dust and dirt trap. Multiple times a year, I have to take the whole mattress off and clean the slats, drawers, and frame under them, then move the entire bed frame and clean the floor under it. By the next time I clean it’s filthy again, even though I keep the rest of my room clean and tidy. 2
Drawers were difficult to put together CorinneThis bed is very good, love the spaces in the headboard to put items in. The only drawback was that the drawers under the bed were a little difficult to install correctly with the direction given.4
Do not buy!!!AlanThis bottom join will not connect properly despite several hours working on it. It’s falling apart, fragile and cheap MDF board. I’m genuinely surprised how poorly constructed it is. HOW DID THIS EVER GET APPROVED. Now I have a busted bed that can’t be constructed or returned. Paying to have it returned and delivered again could more than the bed in NYC. Unless I’m buying silverware I’ll NEVER get another piece of IKEA hardware. 1

Great bedframe, LONG assemblyTaraThe bedframe is gorgeous and the drawer space is massive, and the cubbies in the headboard very convenient. The same cannot be said for the assembly. The instructions are detailed enough, but heed those instructions when they say it is NOT a one-person job. My boyfriend and I did it together, and it took us NINE HOURS. Maybe if your bedroom is enormous and you have a team of four minimum, you might get it done in a timely manner. Nonetheless, the bedframe is exactly what I wanted once it was all assembled so I do not regret the time it took.
WARNING. The mounting screws used to fasten it to the wall are NOT provided. Make sure you have your own before you get to that step. 4
Disappointed DraganaIt's very difficult to assemble. The drawers don't fit well, they have gap between the frame and drawers. The boards are crooked. The headboard is pointless, it's not connected to the bed frame at all. There's a gap between the bed frame and the headboard.1
Poor durability & noisySterlingBought this type of bed frame for my wife. After we moved once and reassembled it, it was noisy/squeaky when moving around on it. Not sturdy enough. I do like the look of it though. Drawer alignment became an issue too. One or two of the drawers didn't open and close well after moving it once.3
Horrible bed do not buy MammadoThe bed isn’t worth the price I had to sleep on one side because the slats weren’t sturdy. Still have to call ikea for months to deal with a a refund. 1

Beautiful bedLoraWe are thrilled with this beautiful bed. It has plenty of space for storage and looks classy in our room. The only reason for four stars is the directions are difficult to follow. The center cams in the bottom would not link up until all four sides were constructed securely and then they twisted into place. We went with custom cut finished plywood instead of the slats to save 4 hours round trip because box springs make the bed way too high. 4
