just what I wantedGreggI have to admit, this was the perfect purchase, the style, color and the size are just perfect for my bedroom. I brought two and the ease of putting them together was another plus. When I say this item was just I wanted, I really mean this, after looking at several stores for a chest I'm so happy I found the Brimnes.

not the same?TelonnaI ordered the BRIMNES in gray since I previously had the black version a few years ago. I’ve always liked BRIMNES because it’s solid and long-lasting it even survived my move, while my HEMNES pieces didn’t. But with this gray one, something feels different. The drawers don’t pull out far enough it’s almost like they’re more closed than open. I’m guessing IKEA changed the design for safety reasons, maybe to prevent drawers from falling out on kids, but it takes away from the functionality. The limited opening makes it harder to actually use the storage space inside, which is disappointing since that’s one of the main reasons I liked BRIMNES in the first place.

The price is right. MartinBare bones but functional. Some connections and panels will not age well. Full extension hardware would be worth a little extra $ but you get what you pay for. Easy assembly if you can read ikea.
Difficult to assemble but worth itJadaIt takes forever to get this one put together. And even more time to get all the drawers in correctly. We spent a lot of time fixing mistakes we made but when it was assembled correctly it works exactly as advertised. I’m happy
