Best Bookcase Ever!SusanI love the versatility of the Billy Bookcase. The height extension and extra shelves allow for maximum storage.
Great budget bookshelfJacobWe bought several sections to line two adjacent walls in my wife’s office. She absolutely loves the design. They are easy to build, but need to be anchored to the wall at 2 points per section. I tried to get away with just 1 for a middle section and it was too flimsy. The corner section is very clever and adds a nice touch to the finish of the room. As stated in the title, this is a budget shelf so the quality isn’t the best with the veneer finish compared to more premium products, but great if you align expectations with reality of the product.
Oh BILLY (heart eyes)NoelyFirst of all, this has been one of the easiest builds, like ever. Billy is tall, statuesque and Sturdy. Billy is also very versatile. You can use it for your books, or anything you need organized. I am currently using it in my Smaller than average NYC apartment Bedroom as storage for my makeup, perfumes, books, Purses, and other Miscellaneous Items. Install was a piece of cake.
Huge LibraryBillOrdered 14 of these and they rock. Build quality is top-notch and of all of these the only problem was a single notched shelf which Ikea made right immediately. The improved fasteners for the backing are so much better than the old tacks. Buy with confidence.
Panels arrived defectiveLethaWas excited to receive and assemble to house a collection of hardcover books. Upon opening multiple panels had holes that were drilled too close to the edge. Does not appear like it will hold up/remain sturdy.
