Keep in mind that you need enough space between the top of the furniture and the ceiling to be able to anchor the product to the wall.
Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Assembled as Directed, Still UnstableHeatherI've purchased two pieces of Ikea furniture in the past that I love; a sturdy bedframe and a nice light coffee table, neither of which have ever given me any issue. This piece, however, was unfortunately nothing but issues. I want to be very clear, me and two other people put this together following the directions to a T. However, when we first assembled it and were screwing in the hinges for the doors to attach to, the whole bookcase fell apart. The wooden connectors aren't very tight, and come apart easily. The metal ones secured by the plastic screw mechanism offer little, if any, security. We eventually went and got wood glue, and even with that there are visible gaps. I was also surprised at how thin and flexible the backboard is. It offers no counterweight to the rest of the product. In short, everything was done as instructed, and still the product has visible gaps and is only vaguely sturdy. Really disappointed in the quality for what I paid.
I JUST LOVE it!CathyI looked at several furniture stores but just couldn’t find what I was looking for until I saw this glass door cabinet. The price was so incredible I bought two. I wanted something modern, clean lines, with shelves strong and wide enough to hold my china and glassware, with glass doors. I love the dark blue color and everyone who sees it loves it too! I used the delivery service which was smooth and easy and exactly as described. I also used the assembly service which was again reasonably priced and my Tasker put two of the cabinets and a bench together in under 2 hours. She was amazing! I could only be happier if the Billy line had a table and chairs, a small low cabinet and a high open shelf in the blue color. I would buy them all!
Paper foil on doors is bubblingSamanthaI have three of these in the now-discontinued greige color, which I bought one year ago. They are made of particle board covered in paper foil, and that foil is bubbling up on all three of the doors. Makes otherwise functional and attractive bookcases look quite cheap.
I wonder if the bubbling issue is widespread and the reason this color was discontinued so quickly. Disappointing, as I don't know what to do to resolve this.

ShelfJustinI love this. I put most collection to the shelf and it look good. It just need add light inside when open. If you have carpet you need something to keep stable not fall over/loose. My is hook to not fall over. It will fine if you have wood floor.
Awesome bookcasesMikeHave four of these in Blue, very easy to put together, even the doors were easy for me to do by myself and just wish you could get extra shelves in blue. I got black oak extra shelves for its, use them on the lower part and with books on the shelves hard to notice the color difference.
