Not for use on carpeted floorsEmilyBought this because we saw it in store and on the Ikea smooth cement floor it worked flawlessly. Built it at home and it does not function on carpet at all. It's also very heavy, take note if you are bringing it upstairs.1
Works as a shelf but un/folding is a nightmareViktoriiaI really wanted to love this bookcase/desk but the mechanism doesn't work. Almost every time you slide it in/out the sides move away from the main part and the wheels get out of the slots/top collapses. Don't recommend this. 1
This is such a GREAT IDEA and, makes an EXCELLENT desktop!CathyI bought this to use as my desk, appreciating the fold away feature, because I'm very short on space. My husband and 9 yr. old son both had their eyes on this because it's such a great idea! Unfortunately, my current space configuration is just too small for the width of this so, my son got an early birthday gift! Easy to assemble, all parts included, no problems encountered. The table top is sturdy and LEVEL. I was concerned about that from watching the video because it looks like it maybe sits a bit uneven but, it's flush, all good! I haven't given up on this entirely though so, another purchase may be in my future...5
