Absolutely a no, from a 20+year Ikea customer!FrancineI have so much Ikea furniture that has gotten used daily, for the last 20+ years, has moved homes and is still strong. There is nothing about this piece that should represent a piece of furniture! It is not sturdy, even when put together as recommended. I'm not kidding, my first thought was a house of cards (deck of cards). It's as stable as a house of cards! Even if screwed to the wall it is not worth $15. Even the smaller side with four legs could collapse, again, like a house [made] of cards. In Jan 2025, I bought the White/Lappviken/Stubbarp white and have returned. Taking the time to write a review to help you save your money and time.

Looks cheap, doors don't close completely, and pull-out drawers are unstableKPhotos on the site are deceiving. I hired a TaskRabbit professional to put the unit together and the doors don't align or close completely, the pull-out drawers are so cheaply made and flimsy I'm not sure what we're going to put in them. It is NOT worth the $400-500 total to get it delivered and assembled. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. I will not trust IKEA with large furniture purchases in the future.
I really like it MollieAs a seasoned ikea furniture builder, I’m not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from. We put this together in less than 2 hours and it feels sturdy. The cabinet doors we chose are nice and solid, the frame part of this doesn’t feel as solid so for this price of this I feel like that’s an area this could improve. The cabinet doors lined up well and have spots to adjust on the hinges.
Sleek and great if on a budgetBrynnI was skeptical of all the one star reviews, so I drove in store to look at it. You can customize it how you want with shelves, legs, colors- and it was actually cheaper in store (ended up being around $260 with tax, website shows $303 for white oak). It honestly looks amazing in my living room as a tv stand. Also pretty easy to put together (I don’t build furniture often). Would 100% recommend and would buy more from this brand despite the negative reviews, seems like user error to me. Loses 1 star only because the one door is probably a cm lower than the one next to it but you can barley tell (I’ve bought more expensive items from other places with this same issue)
False Advertising GwenBought this item yesterday locally at my West Covina store and was so excited to get this put together in our living room . What a joke and totally disappointed with the way it looks after spending a bunch of money .
In the product image it appears to be one piece and it’s not it’s two once you go to pickup all the items to assemble it . There’s also a difference in the grain on one of the doors that is noticeable and the doors DO NOT align . Hours and hours and YouTube videos later still not fixed. Also learned it already has legs that come with it after buying legs which it said we needed . What a SCAM .
Every single step was followed by the book and still it won’t align. We are frustrated with the fact we spent hard earned money , time and gas to drive an hour and a half to have this happen to us . Wish I read the reviews on this . We want our money back and completely DISAPPOINTED in IKEA pull this product and FIX IT and make it one solid piece like your others .

They photo shopped the slab to make it look like one piece, the second piece is it's own piece floating on the side of it, its two cubicles and one loner cubicle and it's very cheaply made, I reached out to get a refund on the shipping that was $49 since they didn't specify (and i'd go return the item in store, that's 50 miles away!) and they said, "the measurement picture shows the second piece as its own". Tell me that doesn't make you believe it's just showing the measurement of the size of the shelf part of the WHOLE piece, not as individual separate pieces.
Doors and drawers do not alignElaineThis is not a good quality product and it looks terrible when assembled. Even when assembled correctly, the doors and drawers do not align. The only adjustments possible are moving the drawers in and out and up down—and even those are rudimentary and ineffective. There is no L/R adjustment on the drawers.
Not perfect, but cuteHannahOverall, I like my BESTA. It’s cute and simple, but not boring. My two biggest complaints are the doors not lining up perfectly (a common ikea problem I’ve heard from other people), and the wood veneer pattern not matching up like it does in the photo. We’ve tried multiple things to fix the doors but they just don’t want to be straight. Not a huge thing you notice unless you’re really examining the console, as the 2/3 doors with the problem only have a subtle dip, but for the price and careful assembly skills we used, I’d expect better.
As for the door patterns, the picture they use for the product shows 3 identical doors, but the doors in real life are all different. They’re generally the same tone (although if you stare at them I do think one is slightly cooler toned, not a huge deal) but the faux grain is VERY different on all of them and looks nothing like the consistent herringbone pattern shown. Still a very pretty pattern and not a dealbreaker for us, but definitely misleading from what you think you’re getting.

This is just another pieceMargieThis is just another piece of Ikea furniture that helps make our house a home. Super functional and easy to clean. Installing the interior glass shelves was a little tough but nothing too complicated.
2 separate pieces, not like picturedJasonThe picture for the 3 cabinet piece makes it appear like one solid unit. In reality, there’s a 2 door unit that you screw together with a 1 door unit leaving a not-uniform appearance and line that clearly shows it’s 2 units….how could ikea show a different unit than what we have to build? If I knew it looked like this, I wouldn’t have bought it.
It’s also the most convoluted assembly I’ve ever had with an ikea product since everything is modular.
Finally, my 2 door piece came with a ding in the front where I can’t hide it.
Find a different piece if you want a bigger storage console.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction.
