I’d give less than ZERO stars if I could. No strength had to ad my own braces unit is very weak.CoryI think they have great style FULL STOP. That is it going for these things. I get the name BESTA is fitting as they got the “BESTA” me and my money.
As others have listed these frames have ZERO structural rigidity. They move side to side and will not stay square. This is empty, when you add items and weight it gets worse.
The cams they use are cheap cheap plastic and a few even broke on installation. The door hinges also low quality and the adjustment screws broke on two of them!
I had to buy my own angle brackets and had to modify the frames (at my expense) to strengthen the units. Even with the added brackets they are not super solid because they are just chip board.
While I don’t expect much and don’t expect solid wood for cheaper prices, I do expect the unit to be engineered to be able to stay together.
I have worked in carpentry etc. for over 30 years and will just rebuild an exact copy for less than 200$ for 4 not 3 and they will be rock solid.

Not stable BrittanyTook a chance and bought this even after reading reviews about it being unstable. Assembled according to instructions. Very wobbly even after putting shelves in. Will be returning this. There is no way these shelves can safely hold 44lbs.
Not stable, had to returnClarindaThe shelf seemed the perfect size for our living room, but upon assembling it, it was very rickety. We could not get the shelves or the doors to hang correctly. We even hired a Taskrabbit worker to work on it, and he couldn't get it to work either. So we returned it. We are now going to use two smaller individual shelves, that we will attach together. I would not recommend this item. We have had lots of IKEA products in our home, but this was substandard.
Bad connection detailJonThe classic cabinet/IKEA blind connection just doesn't work with this design. The carcasses of the units will NOT stay square. Especially now that IKEA has replaced one half of the connection with a hard plastic element. At least before it was metal grabbing metal. Now plastic has to bind to a metal screw insert. There's no way these can keep the box square so you can level and align the doors properly -- even on a level floor, which I don't have because, you know something IKEA?, some people live in old homes. Not a great value in the least. Shame on me for not reading the review ahead of time because I live 3 hours from the nearest store and I don't have time in my life to deal with disassembly and returning this hunk of junk.
Incredibly UnstableCarlNot sure how they can sell it in this condition. This product is incredibly unstable and does not sit square, which means that the doors won't hang square no matter how much you try to adjust them.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
