Perfect Shelf with some Minor DefectsMeganHere's the difficulty with rating this...the glass shelf itself is beautiful!! It has nice beveled edges, and I love the quality of it. However, all Ikea items are bought to be used together. The shelves themselves fit into the cabinet fine, but not with the brackets they sent to hold the shelves. I had to buy brackets off of amazon because these shelf holders were just a couple mm off and you cannot "force" glass into a spot like you can with wood. This is definitely NOT a problem with my assembly, and is a problem with the shelves being 7/8 instead of 3/4 length. In the end I decided not to return them to try again, because wouldn't all the shelves have the same problem until Ikea receives enough feedback? I do LIKE the shelves themselves a lot so I opted to buy my own flat brackets that the shelves rest on top of. There is also a sticker Ikea has used that is nearly impossible to remove. I find it extra cruel that they did this on glass lol. Alot of time will be spent removing that
Nice, Needs ImprovementPaulThis is a nice glass shelf and does the trick if glass transparency is what you are looking for. However, I had 2 issues. 1) IKEA uses a brand sticker directly on the glass which is a bear to remove without using some type of Goo Gone product, then it smears the glass making it tougher to clean. You'd think IKEA could use an adhesive brand that simply peels right off. 2) These shelves are IMPOSSIBLE to insert properly if you have a door on your unit. You need to remove the door to install properly, otherwise the shelf just rests on top of the brackets. This makes it tough if you installed the door first AND (heaven forbid) you change your mind about the shelf placement. If the brackets were a tish wider and the shelves a tish narrower, it would work much easier. Otherwise, happy with the Besta product!
Doesn't fit!EmmaI can't get this thing to fit for the life of me! I have bought the deeper version of this shelf before and it works like a charm, but this half width one is giving me lots of trouble. The glass' measured width is 21 7/8", and what is needed is 21 3/4" account for the width of the holding hardware. Will be returning, and debating replacing or just getting a different shelf
Why put cheap stick on the glass. TerrenceThe shelf work as it should. Why Ikea put a cheap paper stick on the glass. It can’t be peeled off easily and each shelf you need to take time to clean the glue off. what a hassle!! if you going to put a sticker on, put a plastic one with low tack glue so we can just peel it off.

Worst IKEA assembly experience everMajaI bought two Besta cabinets to stack as a display unit for action figure collection. The cabinets themselves were very easy to assemble, but I also bought the glass shelves that are supposed to fit these. The shelf support screws do not fit the corresponding cabinet holes, and strip out easily. If they are not flush, the glass shelves don't slide in. GRRRR. Somebody in product engineering needs to fix this design flaw. The cabinets are still half-finished until I can figure out how to fix this problem. I have never had issues with IKEA product assembly until this one. Good cabinet for the money, less-than-happy on the glass shelf installation.
