The wall shelf has one bevelled and one smooth edge on the long side, so you can choose the side you want facing the room depending on which of the two different styles you like the most.

The brackets are designed to fit well together when connecting several in a larger combination.

You can choose to mount the brackets above or below the shelf and thereby creating two different expressions.

You only need one screw to fix two brackets together.

Nice enough shelving, but could you put in some screws/mounts?GregShelves themselves look great and I'm excited to get them put up, but when you don't include any sort of mounting hardware, it's a little difficult to do that! Been searching to figure out screw sizes and recommended hardware to mount, but lots of conflicting information out there.2
Super sturdy/will cause wall damage AliceFirst off I will say these shelves are super sturdy, but they will cause some wall damage - ours also came with no instructions or tools to use to hang up the shelves so we had to kind of wing it. The space between shelves is kind of awkward for bigger books but work well for novels and smaller books - overall super functional, but expect there to be some patching work to be done after getting them up if you're not the handiest like us! 4
Difficult to install, but look niceJenniferThese shelves are very difficult to install, and the height between shelves when installed is only about 10.75". Way too short. I have to stack most of my books flat because there is not enough room for them to stand up. I was not expecting that.1

Looks greatHazelSturdy and looks great. My only issue is the stickers on the metal brackets was a pain to remove. Other than that, I really like this unit. Be sure to measure and level before screwing in the bottom of the shelf. There are no drill hole indicators. I’m assuming it’s because you can have it positioned how you want it.5
Looks great, easy installationAnonymousI chose these shelves because I like the versatility of placing the brackets above or below and multiple arrangements of the shelves. They also go well with the rest of the furniture/cabinetry in the room. Installation was easier than I anticipated (although my husband did all the work), no swearing or gnashing of teeth was had. Not including deciding the arrangement of shelves, it took 2.5 - 3 hours and requires two people. My one complaint is the product id sticker on the brackets - it took me 20-30 minutes to peel all of them off (9 brackets) because they are so sticky. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars for ease of assembly/installation. I would buy these again. I'd like to hang more of them in another room if the brackets become available in a dark color.5

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
