This cover is made of dope-dyed GUNNARED fabric in polyester. It is a durable fabric with a wool-like feel, a warm look and a two-toned mélange effect.

This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.

Doesn’t fit 2024 model chairsAasimBought 24 & 3/8” Bergman’s Bar stools in Jan 2024 with a back rest thinking that replacement covers will also be appropriately called Bergmund. I don’t know if all of a sudden the stools they’re making are bigger or if they switched suppliers that makes the covers but I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who’s noticed these covers are too big (they don’t fit properly).1

Don’t fitErinI bought replacement covers for my chairs: same make and model. They do NOT fit! They are not when wide enough to go over the back of the chair. Now I have to drive 60+ miles to the nearest IKEA to return them. 1
Disappointing ReplacementAnonymousI bought these covers to switch our the covers I have o my Bergmund kitchen stools and they don't fit!! The stool dimensions have been changed since I purchased mine.... if you are going to change the dimensions change the name too, i wasted gas and the cost of the covers driving to the store in Philly to get them. Make sure you measure before you go people they could change anything and keep the same name!!!!!!2

Covers do not fit chairs. Ikea changed the dimensions.DamienThese covers do not fit the bars stools chair that I purchased 3 years ago at IKEA. The dimensions are smaller. IKEA must have changed the dimensions of the chairs. Total waste. Most likely done to push people to buy an entire chair instead of just new covers. At least IKEA could sell the old covers for people who want to replace these. This demonstrate how IKEA is not environmentally responsible.1

Good chairMarilynI spent two hours following the directions in one of the boxes. So I opened the other box and the directions were totally different and it only took less than 30 minutes! I bought six chairs. Some of the boxes had the simpler directions and the others had the more difficult. Obviously, I used the simpler ones. But, I found the inconsistency frustrating!!3

Very good Velcro fastenings, including the middle bit ,making it stay super tight and look good, and we love the texture and colour - it goes with our other warm and colder greys Did not try to wash it yet.

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
