Complete FrustrationMattThis shelf is not worth $20, it's not even worth $5. They could not pay me to take another one of these units.
The placement of the screw holes makes securing the shelves to the vertical supports incredibly frustrating - prepare to scrape the skin of your knuckles off as you try to get them installed.
That is, assuming you can even screw the screws in. My unit had multiple screw holes, on multiple different vertical supports, that simply did not accept screws. It's like they weren't even threaded - I could turn the screwdriver as much as I wanted and make no progress. The quality control of these units is atrocious.
I own and love many IKEA products. This is the worst I've ever experienced, by a long margin. I genuinely hate it.1
Horrible screw designMattShredded knuckles and some of the screws still won't thread properly. Not worth it.1
$20 shelves, $100 of frustrationDanI usually am impressed with Ikea's designs, but this shelving unit has a major flaw in my opinion. Each shelf is fastened in each corner with two screws that are oriented vertically underneath each shelf (you can kind of see it in the photos). The problem is that the top screw for each shelf is much too close to the horizontal part of the shelf so there isn't enough room to get a screwdriver lined up properly with the screw. Combined with relatively small screws and typically poor Ikea threading on the supports, and assembly is an exercise in frustration. Once assembled, the unit itself seems fine for the price.2
I currently own 6 HaydeeI absolutely love this strong unit, so easy to put together, I keep one in my shower 3years no rust yet, I keep one in each of my closets for my purses and shoes, I have one for cleaning supplies, my office for boxes and binders and tons of books now its 19.995
Bought new and it’s rustyXuxiangThe quality is pretty terrible. The side of each shelf came rusted and peeling. I would not recommend this thing1
Great for the Price!CristinaHad a bit of trouble lining up the screws but eventually they all went in - somewhat.4
PerfectNicoleThere really is nothing to complain about. These shelves are multi-purpose and can be used in a variety of ways and settings. I have assembled 4 and while I understand the frustration some folks might face- the screws are a bit small and the placement can be nit-picky, I really only struggled with one of the four builds and by struggle- I mean it took more than 15 minutes and I was grumpy anyway! Even my toddler helped. If a toddler can help build these, you can too!5
Great shelf unit...RemilekunI really do love this shelf unit and it's a great price. It's sturdy, I love how clean and simple it looks and due to it's smaller footprint, it fits perfectly into my space. That being said... if you have normal human sized hands, this will be as annoying as any IKEA product can be to put together. Who are these screws for?? The amount of times I dropped them in the crevices of the shelf and couldn't get them to screw in correctly due to the holes being slightly off was maddening. I finally put it together and I'm happy with the result, but you have been warned...lol4
Baggebo shelf unitPratimaLove it. Due to its narrow depth, the BAGGEBO is great for small or tight spaces without taking up too much floor area. That said, the shelf depth may limit the size of items you can store. While not designed for heavy-duty storage, it delivers great value for light to moderate use. Overall, the BAGGEBO Shelf Unit is an excellent pick for those seeking modern aesthetics and functional storage at an affordable price point.5
Surprised!!!ZorayaSurprised by the size. For some reason I thought it would be small but it actually was more than I expected. My son loves it and know has all his Legos on it. Very sturdy and easy to assemble.5
White meral rackLiwaywayDurable, quality material, elegant look, cheap price5
Nice shelf for the priceYoleanaIt’s easy to put together if you have a long screwdriver with a magnetic tip. Took about 30 min to assemble the first, 20 for the second. It holds plenty, I have it against a wall on carpet so can’t tell is it wobbles really. Recommend 5

So Easy and SturdyTommiI purchased the Baggebo shelf for less than $20. It was easy to install and it's sturdy. I use it in my craft room to hold some storage cubes and a couple of small bins. Looks great with my other white furniture. 5
Nice butGussNice unit but the shelf are a not wide enough to hold must items..4
White shelvesGailIt was easy to assemble and a great purchase5
great in greenhouseValerieI purchased 3 of these to use in my little greenhouse. Sort of difficult to put together, but I expected that. Didn't expect smashing my foot with one of the shelves by dropping it but I digress. So far so good. Been in there several months now and they just are perfect. I also like the white color for not getting so hot in the sun.5
not hard to build!Anonymous reviewerI'm shocked people found this difficult to build. Yes, the screws are small but some patience and they all got in. There are 4 shelves with 8 screws each so 32 total. You need to loosely screw the shelves in and then tighten them all together. I bought 2 baggebos and while the first took me 50 minutes, I built the second in 20-30 minutes. And you can't beat this price. Great for small spaces. Keep in mind this is mainly for light items.5
