“When designing BACKSJÖN wash-basins I decided to work with crushed marble. Casting with crushed marble has the advantage that you can get sharp, crisp edges. This enabled the distinct rectangular shapes and sleek, modern look of the wash-basins. I like that the material is very hard-wearing and combined with the high-gloss finish, it is also scratch-resistant. Lasting beauty is never wrong – especially in intensively used rooms like bathrooms."
