Disappointing VictoriaThis is poor quality, even for IKEA. The design is worse. There are zero instructions on how to install the suspension bar appropriately, other than “use four inch screws and put in four of them, and put them no more than 15 3/4” apart.” Um…why, why would you do us dirty like this, IKEA? Studs are spaced 16”. If you don’t have a handy horizontal (?!) wood stud at exactly 77.75” from the floor to drill in to, you’re going to need flip toggle bolts. If your studs are metal (hello NYC prewar apartments recently flipped), you need different screws and drill bits. If your wall is wonky (see previous parentheses), you’re going to need shims. Or maybe pick something else for storage.
Once you work that out, you will think okay solid foundation, but you will be wrong. The angles don’t jive, the pieces slide. The screws are tiny and hard to grip. Skip this one. Also, I’m available for NYC dwelling consultant work, IKEA.

Looks amazing!SalvadorThis was a perfect addition to our remodeling project. Instructions definitely are special but after a few tries you will get good results. I had a 2nd one to do so the 2nd was easier.
