Regretting this kitchen purchase.AlexI’m honestly really disappointed. The cover panels do not fit as they should and have to be cut — which is frustrating enough, as there was no info on it — but doing so without professional tools is nearly impossible. I don’t have a workshop at home, and trying to cut them with basic tools just leads to chipping, breaking, and endless trials and errors. You have to account for the cabinet, the wall, the doors, if you wish for it to look nice — it’s far more complicated than it should be. I expected a better, more thoughtful design. Right now, I’m truly regretting this kitchen purchase.

Less than expectedAnonymousThough the look is attractive, the assembly leaves one disappointed. The doors leave gaps and the white body of the cabinet body shows through - the doors are too narrow to cover the cabinet frames. This gives a really cheap look - I guess that's why they aren't onlay in the store.

ASKERSUND Cover panelAnonymousChose ASKERSUND for both kitchens at the Emerson Street House and am very happy with my decision. ASKERSUND is a high quality laminate. I still dream of real wood cabinets AND I just realized I can still make that happen. The fronts can be removed and replaced with real wood doors when and (if) I save up the money. IKEA recycles so the draw fronts can be returned to IKEA or put up on Next Door to save neighbors money who are installing an IKEA kitchen on a budget.
