More expensive and flimsier than pax doors bought 6 years agoCarlThey are easier to install than my 2020 Pax installation but they are twice the cost and made of bendy wood vs. the solid wood of the older pax mirrored door. Also the previous doors had a nice finished edge whereas these have a chrome band around them which looks less elegant
Mirrored hinged doorSusanI opted to add extra storage where the wall allowed by installing AHEIM next to AULI. Worked out seamlessly!
Thank you IKEA
Doors do not line up.MariaI bought two of these, and they do not line up. I have the impression that one door is a tad larger than the other one. I bought one regular size and one narrow to fit the pax cabinet it was meant for.
Gorgeous and sturdyPeterHow nice to have a tall wardrobe with a tall mirror door! When attaching to the frame with the soft-closing hinges, make sure that the soft-closing hinges with the plastic tabs are at the top and bottom slots. I also have a hack for putting the door up alone. Use a stack of books to prop the door up to the right height and then screw it into the frame.
door mirrorAnonymousLove it !!
Aheim mirror doorAnonymous reviewerWe did not realize the handle came with the product and accidentally must have thrown it away. I don't see an option to order it separately. Otherwise we love it.
NOT GOOD QUALITY - Phiralooks beautiful, but after 1 month of using the closet, the aheim mirrored doors plastic cap that fit into the holes on the inner back end broke off and the door quite literally broke off as i opened it. all 3. plastics were broken and theres no way to secure the screws back in - i suspect if they had used metal vs. plastic to save on costs, this item would be much more popular. sadly, i have to return this door and the options to replace are not even available due to the slimmer/smaller size of this mirror, which means im stuck with a half open closet with no options to find another door. im extremely disappointed in the quality of this item - do not purchase.
Mirror door ColleenLooks great
Very flimsy MarisaI purchased your original mirror doors back in 2018 and they were very sturdy! Your new one cost double but no way sturdy like the old ones. Shakes as they close.
hallowFarhadLooks good but I am afraid it won't be good for tenant as it is not strong enough to take abuse.
Great closet doorAndreaExcellent quality. Easy to assemble
Love my mirror door on PaxTeresaThis mirrored doors add style and are a great look on my Pax wardrobe. Love the look and functionality!
Quality Not As GoodAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately these are not nearly as nice as the Vikedal door, which this replaced. They feel cheap and the inability to swap out handles is disappointing
Downgrade in QualityAnonymous reviewerI waited months for these as I missed the opportunity to grab a couple pairs of Vikedal mirror doors before they were discontinued. I was hoping for an improvement, but unfortunately, these doors are just not up to par.
The conversion to lighter, more inexpensive doors has resulted in a loss of quality, especially in the mirror surface it self. From a side angle, ridges can be seen in the reflective material. The doors are less rigid than the Vikedals and the handles are not swappable.
As an avid ikea fan of nearly 20 years, these doors can no longer be used in custom build-outs. The poor quality and cheapness shows, and I'm extremely disappointed that senior leadership allowed these to go out in this final design state.
