Good to know

To keep your sofa looking good, you should regularly flatten out creases and wrinkles with your hand.

The velvet reflects light in a characteristic way which may make the color appear as if it changes.

Press marks that may appear on the velvet usually disappear in time. With your hand, you can gently stroke in the direction of the pile or use a clothes brush. You can also use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.

Small fibers may appear on velvet. It happens naturally and they disappear over time and can also be removed with a lint roller.

Remove dust with a lint remover.

Light stains can be removed with a damp sponge or a mild soapy solution.

To make sure that velvet maintains its look and feel, it needs to be cared for regularly according to the care instructions included with the product.

I love this couch!MichelleI have had this couch for almost three years and have found it to be comfortable and very easy to clean. Yes, it shows crumbs and lint more since it is dark blue velvet but a quick clean with a lint brush or vacuum takes care of it very well. I would say one of my best purchases.5

Gorgeous but the noise is terrible!!EI’ve owned the 3-seater for two years (March 2022). Gorgeous sofa. Still looks brand new with daily use. But, we’re having to deal with the squeaky noise every time you sit and get up from it. We still haven’t found a solution to stop the noise. So, if you’re buying a sofa for a room for aesthetics and will rarely use it, this is the perfect sofa. But for daily use, the noise is ridiculous and embarrassing. Also note, assembling this couch was very difficult. I had someone assemble it for me and he worked for a company that primarily assembled IKEA products . He mentioned that this was one of his hardest sofas to put together! 3
Wanted to love this sofa - 8 months later LucindaThis sofa is so beautiful and has such a high quality silhouette! However it wears very quickly and is already looking a lot older already than our original KIVIK, which we had for almost 10 years before replacing it with this one. If you spend a lot of time sitting on your the cushions will start sagging and pilling quickly. (Like sitting on it daily) And this is after having it for less than a year! A bummer that the cushions aren’t washable, which I think would help with the longevity of this piece. I don’t recommend for people who do more than just occasionally sit on their sofas lol. 2
Terrible quality sofaKristerThis sofa has an incredibly poor quality fabric. After less than 6 months use by two adults (+55), without children or pets, the state of the sofa is terrible. You are embarrassed to invite guest over to see the poor quality. According to customer support this is what we should be expecting from this product, as they concluded their reviews without any action. The relatively high purchase price is definitely not reflected by its quality.1
DO NOT BUYDanielI have assembled dozens of Ikea products already. This is BY FAR the worst one to assemble I have ever seen in my whole life. I wonder if this „designer“ has ever tried to assemble it himself. Trying since two hours to mount the side panels. Managed to do one. A total pain in the back. Really don’t understand how Ikea can sell something like this.1

Great Couch for the $EmmaThe installation wasn't the easiest - it needed extra force to make sure everything aligned & in their places, then tightened securely. Installing the two arms were most definitely the challenging parts. I have no creaking problem, even after having it for 6 months now. Very comfortable couch. So I would make sure to install it properly and securely to avoid creak problem like the reviewers below.5
