Melted in dryer on low heat settingJuneBought 2 (1 full and 1 queen) and didn't get to use either. Before using, I washed both according to the instructions and both melted in the dryer.
I initially thought just the queen-sized one was damaged (there were numerous places on the polypropylene side that melted into hard, scratchy plastic and created holes) as the full-sized one seemed okay. However, when I went to put the full-sized one on the bed, I felt hard plastic and noticed that there was an area about the size of my palm that had melted.
I was super excited about these so I'm disappointed they melted. Thankfully, I didn’t see any damage to my washer or dryer.1

Finally tossed it, yahoo!TerryI guess on the positive side, I dealt with it 1 1/2 years. But it kept shrinking. Washed in warm in a front loader, dryed on permanent press - never hot. Washed about every 1-2 weeks Shrank about 2” at 3 months. At one year 3”. The shrinking was not uniform, center width, mostly. You could feel the bunching and edges. We even tried stretching and ironing . The manufacturer acknowledges that there will be some shrinkage, so why in the “H” dont they make it bigger. I beg ikea, have an employee take one home, wash and dry it a dozen times, then find another supplier. 1

Only cotton on one side, plastic net on the back!MonikaPictures are deceiving! I bought this hoping it would be a successor to the Kungsmynta mattress protector which has been discontinued. Kungsmynta was excellent - breathable with cotton on both sides. Ängskorn looks identical on both sides in product photos, so it was a big disappointment that it turned out to have a polyester net on the back side! I want a protector that is breathable, not waterproof nor plastic. 2
