Poorly madeEleanaI have assembled numerous IKEA furniture and usually enjoy the process but this bassinet was a nightmare. The parts simply don’t fit together, the instructions make little sense, and even the screw holes were misaligned. It’s the first time I’ve seen such poor quality control from IKEA. I read the warnings in other reviews and thought they might be exaggerating, they weren’t. Doesn’t seem super sturdy either and generally not worth the price tag

Like the bassinet and the changing table, it’s made of light bentwood and has soft, rounded shapes. “As a new parent, you may be sensitive to things that feel hard and sharp and want to surround your baby with soft and embracing shapes,” says Sarah. “The light wood also gives ÄLSKVÄRD a Scandinavian feel that’s timeless, perfect if you want the durable furniture to be inherited by siblings and friends.”
