A total cheat!ZhigangThis Malm bed frame with storage boxes perfectly shows us how IKEA cheat with customers on pricing, and how it makes no sense. I bought a Malm king-size bed frame with two storage boxes. After assembling it, found it does NOT have slatted bed base. I then communicated with customer service and fond the following facts. The one without boxes is priced at $399, and the one with two boxes is priced at $419. I take the price gap as some discounted price for the two boxes (the price for the two separate boxes is $71.74). But guess what, the bed frame with boxes does NOT include the slatted bed base, while the bed frame w/o boxes does have bed base. So us customers who bought the one with boxes need to spend another $140 for the bed base!!! This is total cheating!!! The bed frame with boxes is already higher priced, yet we need to spend another $140. Why does the frame w/o boxes include bed base while the frame with boxes (higher price) does not include a bed base? Makes no sense! 1
