How is this an upgrade or superior to the prior product that had a simple push button interface?JesseThis is awful, it's embarrassing, it's a dozen steps backwards and confusing to use. It says you get multiple colors then the manual shows you a picture of a remote that doesn't exist and the staff will send you home with a remote that doesn't change the color. I don't want white light. I paid extra for the colors for a reason and now it's all installed and I have this ugly yellow light I can't change to purple like I could on the old rope lights by just pressing a button. Why does everything have to be smart and complicated when most people just want something simple? There was absolutely no reason to remove the manual buttons or make a LED strip light so complex and confusing. Smart products are DUMB.
Beautiful light and quality- needs hubLaneyListing said the BILRESA remote completes the order, but the BILRESA remote linked in the listing does not pair or even turn on that I can tell-- even after resetting the strip and changing batteries/resetting the remote multiple times. Wish I'd checked the reviews. The only way to control this strip is to plug/unplug it with no ability to dim or change color or buy an expensive hub to control one light strip! I realized it wouldn't pair after fully installing it on cabinets so now I'm stuck with this dilemma.
Awesome ambient light stripMarkI wish I could upload a picture of this fabulous light strip I installed in LED conduit to do it justice. This strip is excellent in floorboard or around a bed for ambient light. The Zigbee protocol with IKEA is rock solid, I just hope they don’t go to Matter with their lighting products
Awesome Light StripBrianI paired this with the Styrbar remote and it displays beautiful color shades and white light. It was simple to set up and works perfectly as designed.
LightsLaurieThe lights were beautiful, but they would not link with the controller and although I paid for colored lights, the only color I can get out of them is bright white. I did not also know that I needed a controller so I had to order that part and have tried several times to link the lights and they don’t link. So although the lights are bright and beautiful, they do not change color and therefore they are not what I ordered or or wanted.
Great Value!DanilSuper cost effective LED light strips when compared to something like Phillips Hues $257 for a similar size. If you have uneven wall texture, you may need to get some clamps for the LED strips since the adhesive may not be enough to keep it up, but other than that, I had no issues installing these. Used them to add some lighting to my closet and just ordered 5 more to add some LEDs to my kitchen!
IF Vattensten and Myrvarv had a kid:EldianThis their replacement, on one hand it bypasses the Tradfri and goes straight for the remote and can connect to the smart home setup. On the other hand it features all the colors of Vattensten but it finally adds white warm light. No longer you need to choose between the multicolor strip or the white light this one comes with both and it’s wireless.
However it’s not as bright as the Myrvarv is, even when you place them next to each other the Ormanas falls under a bit the Myrvarv if it was aimed to replace it when it comes to brightness.
I like the new connection, makes the entire setup less messy, it’s brighter than the Vattensten by a little bit, and less brighter than the Myrvarv. It’s still a solid replacement but at the end of the day if you wanted to buy an extra similar setup the display will look a bit off but not by much!
Underwhelming replacement for MYRVARVMattyClean design and simple pairing are marred by a low quality led strip. A very low LED count and obsolete two-chip design means the light is uneven with significant hot spots and color shifting, even from a distance. A measly 5W power rating explains the overall low output despite this being a 24V strip. The controller drives the strip at an over-voltage so expect a drastically shortened lifespan from the one claimed. Also note that this NOT a white-spectrum product - it has only one warm-white LED and mixes blue to approximate other white temps.
