They are a good height, and not too tall like most sets we’ve looked at. Great price too. The best part is the wood is unfinished so you can do whatever you want to them! We plan to stain them a nice rich color but you could paint them too!5
Solid, good looking bunk frameNc2001Bought this a few weeks ago, and so far so good. The frame is sturdy and not squeaky, and the unfinished wood actually looks pretty nice. Great value. The only thing I’d say could improve is that the ladder slats are pretty thin, so for adults climbing up it’s pretty uncomfortable on the feet.4
Fantastic bedsherill77I have been researching bunk bed for a few months now for my 6 year old son, and went to look at this one at Ikea a few weeks ago. Someone complained that the head of the bed needed to be higher, but now that it's up, I think it is fine. Someone also complained that putting the slates on the bed was difficult and I think that was the easiest part. I did have trouble with the tool that tightens the fasteners. It could be a bit bigger and I have small hands. I am a 77 year old woman and put this together myself with the help of my 6 year old when I had to have him hold one of the sides for me so I could attach the bottom bed.5

Good....but could be betterEli2020Good bed, but it had so many parts!!! You had to hammer in all the individual slats-your hands will hurt at the end. Also, if you have active kids that jump on the bed, the screws will become a bit loose after some time-you will need to tighten them from time to time. We also found out this wood has a very strong smell, so if you have bad allergies you may not be able to sleep on on your bed for 1 month (that's what happened to my daughter).3

Kids love the fun, cozy feel of a bunk bed. They also like to move around in bed after you’ve turned off the lights. That’s why we have strict construction requirements. We also test our bunk beds thoroughly to ensure they are strong, durable and safe for children. For instance, the guardrails are set to prevent a child from slipping through. There is only one opening in the guardrails, reducing the risk of falling from the upper bed. Also, the ladder steps are evenly spaced to make climbing up and down easier. Upper bed is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
