KEA U.S. announced today the release of the 2021 IKEA U.S. digital catalog. This year marks its 70th birthday and to make it more special, IKEA has turned it into something that everyone can enjoy and find useful: a handbook for a better everyday life at home.

Conshohocken, PA (October 26, 2020) – IKEA U.S. announced today the release of the 2021 IKEA U.S. digital catalog. This year marks its 70th birthday and to make it more special, IKEA has turned it into something that everyone can enjoy and find useful: a handbook for a better everyday life at home. Each page is filled with inspiration, hands-on tips, and small, affordable shifts to make your home cozier, smarter, more sustainable and more beautiful.

“We’re excited to launch the 2021 IKEA catalog in the U.S. At a time when so much more of life is happening at home, this year’s catalog goes one step further and is filled with even more inspiration and tips to make a big impact. Whether you’re seeking to be more well-rested, more planet-friendly or more organized, the catalog can help you get there with simple solutions like an ergonomic pillow, air purifying curtains or a desk for your new at-home office,” says Shideh Hashemi, Country Marketing Manager, IKEA U.S.

Another key feature of the IKEA catalog is the “Homes” section, which all start from a common need and real-life challenges that can be solved creatively with the help of IKEA products, solutions and ideas. This year the focus is on embracing change at home. In order to make the catalog as relatable and inspiring as possible, IKEA designers from the U.S., Germany, Portugal, Japan and Switzerland were invited to create five distinct homes in addition to the five homes created by IKEA Communications (ICOM), the main design team based in Sweden.

The home from the U.S. was created by Joseph Abbott, a former U.S. Interior Design Specialist who now works on the ICOM team, and showcases the story of a family starting a new school year and the challenges that are faced with starting new routines and getting back on schedule. IKEA products were selected that allow for optimal storage and sharing spaces with a family of five.

Of the ten “Homes” built, decorated and photographed, each market had the opportunity to select three homes to feature in their local catalog along with three that are standard for every market. The markets were also able to choose from five different cover options. This means customers across the globe will enjoy unique, market-specific versions of the IKEA catalog this year.

In the U.S. starting today, consumers may visit www.IKEA-USA.com/Catalog to explore and download the digital 2021 IKEA U.S. catalog. Right now, the 2021 IKEA U.S. catalog will only be available digitally. The printed version of the U.S catalog will be available in stores later this year.
