Now in its fifth year, the IKEA U.S. ‘Feeding the Future’ campaign raised more than $283,000 during its June campaign. These donations will help provide 2.8 million meals* for children and families in local IKEA communities through Feeding America®, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization.

[National] The $283,000 raised in June will help provide more than 2.8 million meals to people facing hunger

(Conshohocken, PA – July 26, 2018) Now in its fifth year, the IKEA U.S. ‘Feeding the Future’ campaign raised more than $283,000 during its June campaign. These donations will help provide 2.8 million meals* for children and families in local IKEA communities through Feeding America®, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization.

IKEA U.S. thanks its customers for their generous contributions to the IKEA in-store program. For each purchase of select IKEA healthy kids meals, IKEA U.S. donated $1 to local Feeding America food banks.** Additionally, IKEA U.S. customers were able to donate $1 at the register at all IKEA cash lanes, customer restaurants, IKEA Bistros and Swedish Food markets.

“Our U.S. customers have once again shown incredible support for the IKEA ‘Feeding the Future’ program in our stores across the country, helping to provide more than two million meals to those in need this year,” said Samantha Giusti, IKEA U.S. community affairs manager. “We deeply value our ongoing partnership with Feeding America, now in its fifth year, which enables us to give back to our local communities to fight hunger, while also supporting our commitment to healthy eating.”

“41 million Americans live in food-insecure households, including nearly 13 million children, and IKEA’s ‘Feeding the Future’ campaign made a big impact in the communities we serve this summer,” said Nancy Curby, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at Feeding America. “We appreciate our partners at IKEA U.S. for their ongoing commitment to fighting hunger.”

This continued partnership enables IKEA U.S. to reach local communities, support Feeding America’s programs, encourage healthy eating, as well as give our customers the opportunity to make a difference.

*$1 helps provide 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.
