IKEA Media Plan and order point with Pick-up will open Spring 2026

Conshohocken, PA – October 21, 2025 – Today, IKEA U.S. announced plans for a new Plan and order point with Pick-up located in Media, Pennsylvania, which is set to open Spring 2026 to the public. This new customer meeting point, conveniently located in The Promenade at Granite Run, will bring the IKEA experience closer to Delaware County.
The IKEA Media Plan and order point with Pick-up is one of new format stores that are part of the growth strategy for IKEA U.S.—increasing accessibility to the brand and ensuring there are more ways to meet customers where they are and how they like to shop. It is different from the traditional large-format IKEA stores as it gives customers the opportunity to meet with the IKEA store team to plan and order home furnishing solutions that require a bit more help – such as kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.
While customers are unable to take products home that day, IKEA co-workers can arrange for delivery or schedule orders to be picked up from the convenient, on-site Pick-up location. With the addition of an IKEA Pick-up point, customers will be able to collect their purchases when and where it is convenient for them, supporting purchases made at the Plan and order point as well as online at IKEA.us. Online shoppers will have the option to pick up qualifying orders by selecting IKEA Media as their preferred pick-up location at checkout.
IKEA has been in the greater Philadelphia market for 40 years, since opening the first store in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania in 1985. IKEA Media will be located in a mixed-use retail center called The Promenade at Granite Run at 1111 W. Baltimore Pike, Suite K, Media, PA 19063, covering approximately 3,755 square feet of leased retail space.
By introducing IKEA Media, more customers in the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area now have access to affordability and convenience. However, for their beloved meatballs and other IKEA Food offerings, customers will still need to make a trip to IKEA Conshohocken.
“I'm beyond excited to welcome customers at IKEA Media this Spring 2026. No more trekking through that notorious I-476 “Blue Route” traffic—now you can enjoy IKEA and our inspiring home design with less hassle. The IKEA Media Plan and order point with Pick-up brings our signature styles closer to the community—making it more accessible, more convenient, and of course, more affordable,” said George Holtkamp, Market Manager, IKEA U.S.
IKEA is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience with a variety of customer meeting points and locations that complement each other and meet people's different needs. In addition to opening new Plan and order points, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to enhance its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including new IKEA Family benefits, lower priced shipping and delivery, Click & collect, and TaskRabbit assembly services.
